Hi Folks, I was wondering if it might be fun(and indeed if anyone wants too) record themselves singing a Song of Cats and posting a link up on the website, I would be interested in seeing peoples versions of Cats songs and would love to hear what people think of my versions. .... Also it would be cool to see maybe some art work Cat/yusuf related by any of the forum members what do you think Christine? Ill go first! uk.geocities.com/talismanmatt/thewindmat.WMVmy version 'The Wind'

I think it is a good idea Matt. ;-) I can't play any instruments, or sing, But would love to listen to some others music or artwork. I'll even see if I can come up with something, as far as art. I am not an artist, but sometimes I like to doodle. So Majicat members, lets see wht you can do. :-) BTW Matt, I tried listening to your song, and I recieved a " Sorry, Try Again Later" page. So, I'll give it an hour or so, then retry to listen to your song.

Years ago, I use to watch a series, called 'Lonesome Dove- The Outlaw Years' It was a wonderful western type series. There was a character in the show called Clay Mosby, he was the show's bad guy but you couldn't help but love him. He'd could have made a nice Cat Stevens look alike, except he was a little heavier. The actor who played Clay Mosby was Eric McCormick. He went on to play Will, on Will and Grace.

I don't know where he is as of late, but we have/had our own Cat look-alike right here. Born the Nine(Craig) where are you?
Peace,Vivian

Yep, he was a cutie to watch. But it was probably just because of the dark curls and beard, that gave him the cat look. If you are able to get the old series, on a station near you, watch it. It's about 10-15 years old. but it was really well put together. I hear it is out on DVD, now.

checked out your video this morning Matt. Your voice is really nice and soft, it's a good rendition. Thanks for sharing it.
The video came out a little spotchy, but I still enjoyed watching it. :-)

I know this is going to sound daft but I had a dream of Yusuf and I asked him why he turned his back on our Church of England, and why he became muslim, and have fatherhood changed his life and does he feel any better with himself....

Jan Oh Janette, there's just one thing about it all, I guess you'll have to stop dreaming and start anew! I mean, Cat was raised as a Roman Catholic and attended St. Joseph Roman Catholic Primary School in Macklin Street, London. All this despite his dad being an Orthodox and his mum being a Lutheran. So Cat was never an Anglican...we might ask the Pope what he thinks about him turning his back to Catholicism then!
