For some reason, I often don't stay logged in. Often, I don't realize I'm not logged in until I am finished typing a LONG post, only to find this out. So, is it my cookies or something else? Oh, I do have FOREVER marked in the drop down menu, so it can't be that.
Peace,Vivian

It happens to you because your log in time has expired. When you first log in you will see an option under your username and password that asks how long you want to stay logged in for. If you do not choose an option it will choose one for you & that is why your time is just up & you get logged out. To avoid this , when you first log on choose 'forever' when you log in as the amount of time you wish to be logged in & hopefully that won't happen again. BUT if you clear your cookies on your browser it will happen again. Every time you clear your browser you will get logged out.

About clearing my cookies, I don't know anything about that. This happens when I am still online, bouncing from one website to another. When I come back to majicat, I am logged out. Peace,Vivian

Viv...Do you choose "forever" each time you log in? If you don't do it each time, then it will give you six hours instead. I thought if you chose "forever" that it would stay that way forever, but it doesn't. I've never had it happen to me but then I'm not usually on that long unless I forget to log out, which I sometimes do. Lora

I thought so too, Lora, but often, it doesn't. Sometimes it happens even when I am online. Something just logs me out, even though I do say forever. Must be the cookie monster.

Okay, this happened first thing this morning. I post a message, and then get logged out before I can post my second. I am being logged out in between posts, even though I do choose "forever" at log in. Would this be my cookies, and if so, how do I put that "cookie monster" to rest?
Peace,Vivian

Vivian, it does the same thing to me when I use foxfire. I could write a post, but when I hit the send button, it tells me that I am not logged in. So I resorted to using my msn browser and haven't encounter that problem. So it must be a glitch between proboards and certain browsers. I'll write to proboards and see what they hae to say about it for you.
