Hello Majicatters.
I'm in the process of designing a new look for the main site of Majicat. I have checked it out on the 3 most commonly used computer settings. It looks slightly different on each of them, some better than others. The experts and olderbooks say that it best to design a site with the 800x600 setting, but I haven't used that settings in years. And according to my stats, not many people are using it, but there are still a few who still use it.
This is just a small poll to see what YOU at the messageboard have your PC or laptop settings set at.
Thank You
Christine -- PS... The design is not completed, it's just a rough draft. So your answers are important to which setting I will use to design it.

I can't really say, being that I am so computer illiterate, I don't know the difference. I don't know which or either will work or NOT work on my computer. That part worries me some! So, I will skip the poll!
Peace,Vivian

Hi Vivian,
I should have posted this along with the poll. (sorry)
Right click on your computer screen (make sure all web pages are minimized, before doing this) when the box come up, go to PROPERTIES, then click on SETTINGS. It will tell you which setting (screen resolution) your computer is set at.

I'm afraid I belong to the oldfashioned few who still use the 800x600 setting ... Love, Sanna

Hi,Christine! My computer doesn't seem to fit into the poll - the setting is 1680X1050. ~Sun~ Whoah, Sun, you must have a large monitor ;D Or perhaps it is part of the new vista settings. My settings only go up to 1280x800, so I won't be able to test the 1680x1050 setting.

Yes - when my old computer got "fried," my son talked me into a 22" plasma monitor to go along with my new computer - it's a very nice size, and I highly recommend it to everyone. BTW, Vista users might need to modify the instructions to: "Right click on your computer screen (make sure all web pages are minimized, before doing this). When the box comes up, go to "Personalize", then click on "Display Settings." It will tell you which setting (screen resolution) your computer is set at." I spent a long time trying to find "Properties" until I discovered that it's different with Vista. I'm excited about Majicat's new look, and can't wait to get some glimpses! ~Sun~

My mac is at 1152x864 so it doesn't fit the poll either! Good luck with the Majicat re-design, Christine. It doesn't get said often enough--thanks again for providing this great forum and website!

Thank You, Unfortunately, it will be a little while yet. I'm only in the process of playing with different looks right now, on several different settings. Hopefully, I will have time to work on it over the winter and have it up spring/summer.
