Well as close as this comes to what yusuf is doing this days is to explain to you what he'll be doing on my computer five times a day....
i used to have a nifty prayer program on my machine that would call adhan at prayer time. However, as i explained in an earlier post, i am somewhat of a ditz so i lost it when reformatting. imagine my woe when i went to the site i downloaded it from and found it was no longer available!! all that estimation, looking online daily, etc.... scary stuff for an american girl who likes things simple and easy.
i had always wanted, though, to be able to change the adhan to the one that yusuf does, but i was never able to figure out how to do it.
I did find another prayer program. its nice, but still not exactly what i was looking for.
i asked r to make me one, which he is in the process of doing, inshaAllah .. in the meantime, i used just the teensiest bit of ingenuity, and created tasks on my task scheduler.... here prayer times run about the same for approximately three days, so i did it for three days and then will have to update (ok, so its not perfect, but i'm working on it). In any event, i made five copies of yusuf calling adhan, naming each one something slightly different, and set up the tasks using each one for a different prayer time.
when prayer time comes around, its really nice to hear!
:-)
Ramadan Mubarak, and i am wondering what kind of royal conspiracy is going on today.... i just received a small box of four chocolates from choco.com or some such thing in the UK... i did not order them..who is sabotaging me?
