For those interested, a pretty nice version of the audio portion of ABC in Concert is up for grabs on Dimeadozen! It's from the original FM simulcast on KLOS-FM, not from the Hoaxer LP. You need to be a registered member to access it though. If you are, check here.

Track 5 had a "Teaser Cartoon" at the beginning and at the end. I edit out this because it is the the soundtrack of an animated film
for "Teaser and the Firecat". Track 5 is seeded without the "Teaser Cartoon".
Track 5 "Teaser Cartoon" edited out with Cool Edit Pro.
Tracks 5-10 SBE fixed with TLH.
Many thanks to the original uploader and to the mods helping me to upload this one.
If there is someone who wants to make a remastering, I have also the 24-bit 192 KHz wav files converted to flac (2,6 GB).
There is no artwork. Can someone please create artwork for this?
excellent sound, please check the sample.

5. Moonshadow (2:59)
6. King of Trees (3:56)

8. Boy with a Moon & Star on His Head (5:55)

10. The Foreigner Suite (17:41)
Notes from the original uploader:
I recorded this concert the first night it aired, edited some transitions by recording over the starts and ends of commercials, then made a cassette copy and put the reel away. In 1984, I bought the vinyl bootleg LP "The Hoaxer's Midnight Daydream", and it seemed to sound better, but I wasn't quite sure. Later still,
I downloaded the widely circulated CD transfer of the LP, but was very disappointed. I finally have the tools to do this tape justice, and now have it all sorted out.
The program was a TV/FM simulcast, and both the 15.75 KHz TV horizontal sync and 19 KHz FM stereo pilot signals are present on both the LP and reel. Upon close comparison of the two, I found that the reel has a wider frequency range and much fuller sound. Indeed, the Teac did such a good job that there is also a large 22.25 KHz signal present, evidently a modulation product caused by the tuner (19 - 15.75 = 3.25 and 22.25 - 19 = 3.25). The circulated digital version from the LP was probably equalized to reduce these
signals, as there is very little content above 8 KHz.
The problem with the reel, though, is that there is also a modulation component at 3.25 KHz, and is quite annoying during the quieter parts. This is why the LP could sound better at times than the reel. I used Cool Edit Pro to apply several notch filters, and restore the first 1/2 second of "The Hurt" from the LP, and I think it now sounds better than ever. No other "mastering" was performed, but I would sure like to see that FM radio compression undone.
So, here we have the Cat Stevens portion of the show (sorry, I didn't record Dr. John or Linda Ronstadt) in the proper order, with all the audience and segues intact. I love this tape, and these have all become my favorite versions of these tunes. This performance of "The Foreigner Suite", in particular, just blows away the studio version.
