This one is new to me. It appears to come from the same session as the psychedelic video of "Hard Headed Woman" and "Lady D'Arbanville" that's been widely available. I wasn't aware there were more! It's very nice, I wonder where the uploader got it from. ca.youtube.com/watch?v=mkI9wCk8jvw

This is known as "The Beat Club -1970". I don't know how accurate that is though. Any ideas?
I apologize, I should have put this under the "New YouTube video" thread. It was late, I was tired.........

Can't get enough of the front on close ups of this incredible beautiflul and gentle face.
How do you do it glaucus. Thanks a million. Apology accepted. Just joking.....

Wild World 1st Premiere Worldwide TV Broadcast was on the German TV Channel 3sat 3 weeks ago and i have recorded this very very very rare whole performance on DVD!!!!!!
Cat Stevens performed Wild World in the Beat Club TV Studio in Bremen!
The other 2 Songs Cat Stevens also performed was Lady d' Arbanville and Hard Headed Woman

Wow lars! I'm sure many of us here would be counting you one of the luckiest people on the planet for having not only watched this concert, but having it on DVD! That must be a precious DVD in your collection You say that it was a 'Worldwide TV Broadcast' yet it seems to me that Germany has become a very select country for Cat Stevens concert footage recently! I'm really happy for you - and my friends in Germany and all Cat fans who have been so fortunate to have seen this rare, wonderful concert - and quite envious (in a nice way). It's interesting - last week Anette wrote to say that another of Cat's rare concerts doubled up on a DVD release over there - but only available through amazon.de. Luckily, I have a good friend who is getting a copy for me, but I know for a fact that she's sadly unaware of the Wild World' Concert you mention in your post! I hope it has an official release over there too - and more, that BOTH these concerts get worldwide releases! SOON!!! I'm not sure, but it wouldn't surprise me if Yusuf has finally allowed all his work to receive the right of airplay again. After all, the reasons he withdrew the rights to many records and concerts back in the late 70's, no longer apply. There seems no reason at all anymore, for the whole back catalogue of Cat Stevens entire work to be released. I hope this is true for all of us - especially us older fans (who knows how long each of us have left on this earth - I for one, would love to have enjoyed as much of that catalogue before I die). A great post lars! Thanks for sharing Wishing you peace and good, happy days ahead

No it was a concert, 3sat broadcast only the Wild World Song as a TV Premiere!!
Cat Stevens recorded 3 Songs for the Beat Club Show in Bremen on the 9th May 1970. Only 2 Songs were broadcast on the 5th Septmeber 1970 on the Beat Club Episode 58, that was Lady d' Arbanville and Hard headed Woman, the third song was Wild World, it was shown as a TV Premiere 3 weeks ago on 3sat!!

Thanks Lars, I wondered why we had never seen W.W. while the other two Beat Club songs had been widely shared. But it makes sense, since it was never aired before. It looks like they may have digitalized it. The quality of this video is wonderful. They need to broadcast the other two on digital TV.
