Here I am ONCE AGAIN ::)wishing you PEACE & HARMONY in your VERY busy life, Yusuf! I hope that you and Vivian can get together for a warm & wonderful visit while she and Mike are in London next month! I hope that you enjoy all the gifts she is kind enough to be bringing to you personally! ;D Lucy put MUCH EFFORT into the lovely drawings she made of you, and I hope you enjoy the wonderful books she selected for you! She is also sending with your "Five-Star Vivian" the actual cake decorations from Christine's Ohio CatFest from last year(I believe you can STILL smell the aroma of CAKE on them,LOL)! Shirley (you're making me blush!) ... Thanks for the compliment! I certainly enjoyed doing the sketches.
And Vivian, I hope Yusuf'll let you take photos of him with some of our gifts. That'd make me so happy. And if Yusuf reads this, I really want to say: It's extraordinarily sweet and kind of you to agree to try to meet up with Vivian. God bless you for that. I know you're very busy.
<br>And Vivian, you are so very kind to agree to lug all that stuff along with you! You don't know how much it means to me, for one. Insha Allah, I hope you DO get to meet up with him. I'm hoping for the best. But most of all I hope and pray for everyone's safety, travelling, etc..

I am praying EVERY NIGHT that I can meet up with Yusuf! I mean, I am lugging enough WONDERFUL GIFTS for OUR MAN! LOL And I JUST CAN'T WAIT to see the BIG on Yusuf's face as I present them! ;D ;D ;DAnd if I capture the WONDERFUL OCCASION on film, WHAT A TREAT THAT WOULD BE! hippie hippie

Brother Yusuf, I am not very good with words so I've chosen a poem from Rumi as an expression of how I feel, inshaa'allah.
~The Companionship of Fools~
Flee from the foolish; even Jesus fled from them.
Much blood has been shed
by companionship with fools!
Air absorbs water little by little;
even so, the fool drains you of spirit.
He steals your heat and leaves you cold,
like one who puts a stone beneath you.
The flight of Jesus wasn't caused by fear,
for he is safe from the mischief of fools;
his purpose was to teach by example

I just would like to thank you for remaining steadfast as a Muslim through all the controversy of late. I regret that I haven't been able to do the same. The above poem speaks of "fleeing from the foolish" and that "much blood has been shed by companionship with fools". My spirit has indeed been drained since the events of 9/11, to the point where I fell into the "mischief" and even went so far as to denounce my new Muslim name because those who were not Muslim began to label me (us) as 'cultish' or 'phoney'. <br>
Inshaa'allah, I am slowly beginning to build back up by staying away from the 'mischief' and realize that my problems really mean little in the scope of the pain in this world today. Like you, I too would like to be one who teaches by example and lives my life for Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala. Inshaa'allah, I wish to be one who makes a difference in someone's life by kindness and charity, instead of through argument. I pray that Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala will guide me and provide me with the opportunity to use my future skills as a registered nurse to do His wish and please Him, ameen. <br>
