To answer the mystery question: the press release says this:
With “Angel of War,” Islam decided to revisit his musical legacy and rework a classic track. “Angel of War” is based on the melody of “Lady D’Arbanville.”

LadyD, I was just remarking on John's site that this is TWICE now that LadyD (not you) has appeared on the box set and now, thirdly, she's remoulded into an angel. Seems SOMEONE'S thinking a lot of LadyD these days...

Lady D? I was thinking of so many other songs that could have fit profile, never once thought of LadyD.

Hmmmm, I would have never guessed that. He blew my "O' Caritas" theory right out of the water....LOL
Maybe it was the haunting melody of "LadyD" that works with it well. We will just have to wait for the lyrics to make the connection.

Hang out in a barber shop...no wait, that would make the barber angry. Go to skin head conventions and hang around. When their heads start getting hair you can remedy the situation. Hey, we are talking goldmine here.

Hmmm, I wonder if they will be playing the songs now, that war has broke out. I didn't hear Angels of War yet, but I did hear this pro-liberation type country song today. I thought how sad, as I listened to the words of it. I'd rather hear a peace song any day.
Hmm I wonder what all radio stations they will send them to, I have a feeling the people living in larger cities have a much better chance of hearing it, than people who live out in the country or small towns as I do.
Let us know if you hear it.
Edit: I changed the wording of the country song I heard earlier today, as I thought it was a bit rough to call it what I first labeled it. my appologies.

Since I still haven't heard Cat Stevens on the radio since 1984 I doubt I will hear it, but you can bet your bottom dollar you will hear alot of those, "America Will Kick Ass" songs. My husband was complaining about one last week. Being that Yusuf's songs promote peace and aren't advocating the war we may only hear them on his websites.

"...we may only hear them on his websites." A'isha, That would be a sad thing. I don't listen to the radio anymore. I just listen to the songs that I choose to buy, so I won't be the first one to hear Yusuf's new song. There are too many garbage songs out there that floods the air waves and drowns out the good songs. There are so few good songs. I hope Yusuf continues to reach our hearts with songs of peace and love. Keep it goin' Yusuf! Peace, Faithfullight

It's very sad to say, but it wouldn't surprise me if we don't get to hear Yusuf's new songs on the radio. I guess the same thing happens elsewhere, but I know in the UK whenever there is a war, or disaster the media check out any songs or TV programmes that were due for transmission to see if anything in the title or contents might be misconstrued and upset the public in light of a current news story. I think the BBC make up a list of inappropriate songs in these events. Remember the upset last year in the US when the 2nd 'Lord of the Rings' film was released? It was extremely unfortunate timing that 'The two towers' came out after 9/11, but what could the producers do, they would have had as much critisism if they had tried to rename a modern classic story. But with TV and radio it's easier to rearrange scheduling daily if necessary, so I too think we will be very lucky to hear Yusuf's songs on any mass media, particularly in the States, given the level of backlash at peace protesters in certain areas of the ...erm...country. I would be delighted if I am proved wrong, it would certainly renew my faith in the media if they give Yusuf a fair chance to be heard. Let's keep hoping...

???DJ, I can understand what you are saying, but fail to understand why people can't see what a healing song that Peace Train is, and that folks NEED to hear it for HOPE that peace will come! Peace,Vivian
