Hey, I know what you mean. I made a request recently too with no follow-ups. Although, as soon as I joined the site, I was emailed an mp3 of 'The boy with a moon and star on his head' and have always been grateful. I have had some very very kind p.m.'s from folks too - whether an audio file surprise or the warmth of their hearts - they have given of themselves and will remain always in my memory. I have wondered why people are reluctant to make these rare treasures of Cat Stevens available as links for others - the audio/video is obviously in the hands of some folk here. Still, I also know that it requires time and the know-how to best convert and upload such files and quite probably members HAVE come forward in the past. I wouldn't blame them if they weren't as enthusiastic to do so over and over again. Nevertheless, it might be worth a private p.m. to anyone who DOES have possession of something you'd like to have - assuming you can find previous threads where members have claimed to have them. They can either say yes or no. I've kind of had that idea in the back of my mind to do - I just haven't gotten around to it yet! Anyway, as far as 'I love my dog' goes, I tried to download this for you today, convert it and upload it for you, but I realised after trying, that I need to put back a soundcard in my computer - I wasn't using it, so I took it out! I hope to get back to you with that one. I'll try and will let you know. In the meantime, you said you'd like BOTH of the Boston concerts? Well, I have ONE of them and here's a link where you can download it from (and for anyone else who might read this and want it): www.box.net/shared/u3ofzodycuJon

Hi, I"ve been listening to these Boston downloads and they are so wonderful! Can I ask you, Jon, did you get the CDs somewhere or did you create it all yourself because I haven't seen this before? I'm always looking for these concerts on CD, with the artwork. For now, I'll download it... I suppose I could burn a disk myself, ha ha! The only time I saw Cat was 2 nights before this concert at Princeton Univ, NJ. My friends I are were so excited because we just loved him. We were right down front. Unfortunately he was having a really bad night, huge temper tantrum onstage and deliberately played most the concert with his back to the audience. We were so bummed out and not too happy with the love of our life, ha ha.

Ah! That would be nice, but no... I was able to download the Boston Concert from either dimeadozen or thetradersden along with a couple of other concerts. They downloaded as true CD quality (flac lossless files, which I then converted to wav - and then to mp3 in order to upload them for others. Most folk aren't as particular as me whether it's wav or mp3). I've uploaded 2 other concerts, if you or anyone else is interested: Paris Earth Tour 75 www.box.net/shared/mtk3ba9x83Paris Earth Tour 75 www.box.net/shared/mtk3ba9x83The other 2 I was able to download from those same sites were the amazing Santa Monica Concert of 71 - if you've heard it, you'll know what I mean! And the truly stunning audio/fm simulcast of the Moon & Star Concert of 73. Other lesser quality bits and pieces I've gathered from long and tedious searching! There are some other excellent concerts out there that have been written about here on Majicat - it would be so nice to have the lot! It's nice to have Yusuf's songs, but the only way for us to get Cat is thru the old concerts! As for the artwork you mentioned, I like those covers too and if I had time, I'd like to print them out for my own collection! I don't know whether to be envious or not that you saw the concert of 2 nights prior... Man... that WOULD'VE been a REAL bummer!!! He OWES you big time heh heh I can see since my first link, that quite alot of people have obviously noticed it and been downloading! Thanks for your reply. I'm sorry I couldn't help with an actual CD, but I'm happy I could share a little bit! All the best Jon.
