King of trees, Miles From Nowhere and Two Fine People are my favorites on the Majikat video (just watched it again). I think he was at his thinnest there. His face looks gaunt..too thin. The voice, however is still outstanding, as always.

King of trees,Ruins,Two fine people it always depends on what mood i'm in.Sometimes a song feels importend because there is just something happening in your live that is comparable with the words. If you understand what i wont to say.And sometimes all these songs make me just happy to be i live even when live is not always oke. They can give me comfort( simple)And Cats-Yusuf's song are the only ones who do that to me.RegineThey stand so close to your heart and soul.

I was asked once to pick 10 favourite songs from Cat/Yusuf repertoir, but it's impossible to me. I really do love them all. As Regine said "they stand so close to your heart and soul". Plus what still moves after so many years is that unique voice. When I suddenly heard it again last december from the radio it really took my breath away. Can't help it! :-)

Vivian, I totally agree with you about the Granada performance of Tuesday's Dead. I've watched that part over & over again where he gets all flustered & it tickles me every time I watch it. He's shy and absolutely adorable. ;D
Favorite song? Umm it's really hard to choose but I'd have to say my favorites are Fill My Eyes, Lady D'Arbanville, Tuesday's Dead, King of Trees.

That's from the same concert-I think. IS that the one where a little bit of profanity slips out? Peace,Vivian

I'll let you know what my favorite song is as soon as I can bring myself to stop sleeping with the DVD in bed with the portable player staying up until 3AM watching it Sue in Hollywood (new to board) Tuesdays Dead because he breaks the string and has to sing the word break and not laugh even though his guitar goes horribly out of tune. Also when he screws up the into on the bonus version. Just shows his humanity - trying to be perfect but you can't control everything! Also getting pissy about his mike stand before Two fine People and silly intro's after hitting the oxygen....

Hey Sue (in Hollywood)! Sorry I haven't said hello & welcome earlier! I'm intrigued by what you said about Cat having to sing the word 'break' - I usually notice those sorts of things but missed that one! Moments like that - the string breaking and all, only add to the enjoyment I feel My favourite from the Majicat DVD is Hard Headed Woman - I saw it a few months before getting the DVD when I bought Universal's release of 'The Very Best of Cat Stevens' with the bonus DVD. It struck me then with such beauty and power that I pretty much ached just waiting for the whole Majicat DVD to reach Australian shores! When I finally watched it all, I still couldn't rate any of the songs as highly as that particular track - the Intro is stunning and I feel captivated and awe-struck by his heart-drenched passion!

I love Tuesday's Dead, for reasons Sue stated... and also because it's one of my very favorite songs anyway. And, in addition, on this song Cat really seems to be having a good time, enjoying himself. I love that. I also love Lady D'Arbanville, maybe because of the screw-up. It shows he's human. It was never one of my favorite songs, until the dvd came out. Now, it's in the top 10. joni...

I know in Lady he's all into that song with his eyes closed and everything, which was great, and he misplaces his fingers on the frets of the guitar neck for just a second, but you can see he's a perfectionist. I guess it woke him up for the rest of the show.
It must have cost a lot to film the concert so he was probably nervous too.
I like that he didn't edit those parts, the little mistakes, the crabbiness when they mess with his microphone, out of the DVD. Because it shows he's HUMAN like the rest of us.

Where do the children play. This is based, like I said, on SLEEPING with the DVD player on my chest every night since I bought it.
This is the sexiest performance too ladies. Watch his face and his legs. Listen to his moans. Watch all the way through until after he says thank you. Perfect rhythm.
THE DEVIL MADE ME WRITE THIS!

Wonder what happens when you pull that string hanging down from his white shirt?
