That's (hot) news SUE!!! An other cross Atlantic trip. Does that mean YI has officially accepted his invitation? If he does, it will prove he really does not have a problem being in the company of women. Can you imagine Sir Elton calling YI to the stage to perform a number. He sort of owes him one. If I remember correctly, he missed out performing on one occasion due to Sir Elton. Well we will have to wait and see. Thanks SuzieQ..

I guess the best bet is to copy and paste the link into ones browser.

I copied this from the PDF that Vicki referenced:
"The 2008 Invited Musical Guests are Yusuf Islam, formerly Cat Stevens, Sheryl Crow and Elton John while Chris Isaak and Margaret Cho have been tapped to host. (Subject to change)."
Sounds like it is all undetermined at this point, unless Yusuf and the others have actually accepted the invitations.
Let's keep hoping!

Elton definitely owes Yusuf. I remember reading about how Yusuf had written "In the End" specifically for the Live Aid concert held in 1985. Read this quote from Yusuf's website:
"At the massive Live Aid charity concert at Wembley Stadium, Yusuf arrives and offers to perform – a capella – a new song written for the occasion, “The End.” The promoters allow Elton John to overrun, leaving no time for Yusuf. Having turned his back on the music business, Yusuf comes to understand that the business has also turned its back on him."
I'd very much look forward to seeing Elton John make up for it. Wow wouldn't a duet with Sheryl Crow just be amazing?

Reading the press release, I think Sir Elton has been invited as a music guest and not as a host. I hope YI not left till last again.

Hi everyone. It seems very quiet around here lately. It must be the affects of this very cold winter or very hot summer. Sadly things have not been looking up for many, and I don't think it's only the weather. I was just wondering if anyone knows, did YI accept his invitation to the WIN Awards tomorrow. Yesterday was the Theatregoers' Choice Awards previewing the Moonshadow Musical, he must have been there. Well if he was, I can't see him having the time and energy to attend the WIN Awards in L.A., but if he does go, I will take my hat off to him. Have checked the REDROOM, but nothing has been posted in his diary. But they are usually late posting events in his diary.

Maybe I spoke too soon. Today someone over there on Yusuf's new site just informed us Yusuf was in L.A. last week. Still we do not know if he accepted the invitation to the WIN awards in L.A.
