Faithful, I don't think Yusuf is purposely ignoring your letters. I think that much of his mail in intercepted and much of it may not reach him. Iman is no longer the secretary so I have no idea who is carrying on the dutie of secretary, but I know that one day Yusuf is in Africa and the next day he is in Kansas City. He seems to always be on the move. Love ya, A'isha Question is when does that man ever sleep! LOL Peace,Vivian

Oh, my goodness! I finally did receive a response, but it wasn't from Yusuf. I wanted to share this with you on this thread since I just said that they are so standoffish to me. It was a very short note, but at least I was acknowledged.
I'm still waiting for an exchange of communication though.

i would imagine he has some responsibility for yusuf's safety and comfort. certainly we can all understand the potential danger that private and personal correspondence could pose for yusuf, can't we? he's very open and willing to talk in person, but the world wide web is vague and i think it can be a dangerous place. he also has to be aware of fostering a feeling of closeness and intimacy that isn't necessarily there by communicating privately with people. This COULD be dangerous for him, there are alot of weird people out there. he's a celebrity, and celebrities are stalked. i imagine most public people tend to keep their distance, and he has been quite generous in communicating his thoughts and feelings on matters that have clearly mattered to his fans, using a broad brush, rather than a personal stroke. i worry about him alot.

Faithful, I don't know if she is really actually saying that you are a threat to Yusuf. She may be just talking about him having to be careful about everyone he deals with in these sites, including nuts like crazy ole me. I know you are no threat to Yusuf. You aren't a threat to anyone, just a sweet person who loves God and wants world peace. Love ya, A'isha

Faithful, you seem like a lovely person. I don't think your a crazed stalker. Heck, I know that I'm not and I never even got an acknowledgment from yi.org But seriously, how can anyone really "know" anyone (or their intentions) at such a distance? Unfortunately, there are plenty of hackers, phonies and pretenders on the internet. So this type of protection probably just comes with the territory -- a necessary security measure. Plus, they probably get their fair share of nasty-grams too...that's gotta be a little chilling. Nevertheless, I think I can understand your feelings Faithfull. Being ignored is kinda a crummy feeling...no matter what the circumstances and how necessary and well rationalised it might be. Kind of an empty unsatsfying feeling, especially when you know your own heart. Such is life in the fast lane I suppose... -jen. edit: having to limit his interactions may actually be a small source of frustration to yi as well. Seems like a hands-on-kinda guy. Who knows

Oh no more homework LOL I second that! But this should be fun! I'll need some time to think about what to write though... and once I'm done with school I'll definitely have something to rejoice about. - Lissette

Ahhhh Christine if you EVER need help on that, I'm you're gal! I'm a fashion-holic and Cat's sense of style was one of the many things that attracted me to his (the main being his uh... music! Haha) Anyhow, I'm sure you have it covered but I know how frustrating putting a site together can be so if you need a new perspective on something, don't hesitate to PM me! I have tons of commentary on Cat-clothes as well as a few items of my own inspired by the man! I would love to put out another Cat fan site... where does the time go? Faithfull, don't take any concerns regarding email from Yusuf's site personally! Like A'isha said, most of the correspondence probably never reaches him and his webmasters are probably mainly interested in the technical aspects of the site (getting material out, etc.). I'm sure if this was on a personal level, Yusuf would love to sit down and chat with you about common things! - Lissette Hi Faithfullight I'm sure Y.I. is working on it. Sometimes things happen that sidetrack you. Plus the man who runs Y.I. is a very busy man with his *real* career. Running Y.I. is just a sideline job for him. here is an example of procrastination: I had made plans to make a Fashion page or Shoe page showcasing all the different type of shoes and clothes Cat wore over the years. I started the page about 2 or 3 years ago, it's still on the site on a back page, hidden from view. But, I put it aside for a while forgetting about it, I still hope to finish the page someday when I have more time to work on it. I am sure the same is true with Y.I. "Gotta Get It Out" page. Maybe you should try sending Y.I. a note to see if they are still planning to place it up. I'm sure they will be happy to hear you are still interested in seeing "Gotta Get It Out" up on the site. A'isha, Colleen is wondering if I would be a threat to Yusuf. Do you see me as a threat to him? i never said you were a threat to yusuf. i don't know you or why you are trying to get in touch with him. i was merely trying to explain why he would not be exchanging emails with every single person who tries to contact him. though i do not know for sure, i assume he has a personal commitment to NOT communicating directly with anyone. its too dangerous, that is all there is to it. even when he is moved to comment on issues that surface on cs.com and the like, he posts THROUGH other people. i think this is a smart move on his part, for lots of reasons. i can't really find any fault in it. i really did not mean i thought you yourself were a threat, sorry if you interpreted it that way.

Colleen Colleen, I didn't mean to say that you thought that I was, but I do understand that you were concerned about his safety, as well should be considering that he is a celebrity etc, and that he couldn't be too careful. I also do worry about his safety and I do not wish to bring any harm to him or his family. My heart is just overflowing with words that I need to share.

Here's a sample of "Gotta Get It Out! Can't Keep It In" if you don't mind my ranting:
This world is so frustrating from the human perspective and I know that God has His plan, even though I can't seem to get through to people. God knows that I had tried. He will find a way and I do trust God. My main focus about Yusuf is his work with education of our children who will become our future world. Children need to learn about the many diversities among mankind, not to criticize them or to feel superior over others, but to understand one another and learn how to live in harmony among each other. We were all created by God and He guides us if we will come to Him in humility and listen. I am sick of the fighting and wars between religions and nations. No group is superior to any other regardless of what pride tells us. We all live in God's world as one humanity, and we need to break down the barriers of prejudice, bigotry, arrogance, greed, self-centeredness, etc. God wants us (ALL people) to live in harmony, peace, love, kindness, charity, freedom. We all say these things as if we agree, but then religion fights another religion to dominate and demolish the other, nation fights nation, man against man. This is not the way to find peace.
My views about the war in Iraq is not to harm the religion of Islam. But there are people who twist the precepts of God's guidance into supporting man's view to oppress people in tyranny and absolute authority. I don't understand why people support leaders who terrorize their people and force them to support and fight for a dictator who reigns the people in fear.
Religion was given as a guidance from our Creator to help us find peace, and to free the oppressed. But where is the peace? Why are people still oppressed? Why is our world so infested with violence and hatred? It's because of our lower nature to want superiority over others. Men who strive to dominate others are living in the ways of arrogance and greed. Isn't this the ways of Satan? Wasn't he kicked out of heaven because of his arrogance and wanting to be Lord over all?
People need to discuss the misinterpretations of God's scripture; not that they were necessarily written in error, but because they are not understood! Many people do not see the path of peace. It is obvious that if God's word was given to lead us to peace, then because our world does not reflect peace, there is something wrong. We must re-examine our ways throughly with logic and reasoning to find what we did wrong or where we fell off the path of righteousness, and why our world is filled with conceited pride. Education is so important in guiding mankind to follow the path of peace.
Sorry for ranting, but I can't get this mission out of my heart. I keep seeing all the pain that mankind inflicts upon each other and I need to share what's pouring out of my heart. I Gotta Get IT OUT!

When I decide to start working on it again, I will most definately contact you. It probably will be closer to the fall or winter when I seem to have more time to work on the site. I'd love to read your comentaries and your fashion designs. As well as any other fans cometary. Maybe I'll make the page fan user friendly in one way or another, so people can comment (critique) Cats stylish fashions. You now how we women love clothes. Christine

Thank you Yukas! Where have you been? I've missed your posts, but I remember that you said that you were very busy with teaching school. I know that you realize the importance of education and teaching children to embrace diversity. You've been involved and you had worked very hard to help children. Bless you!
Teaching is a very hard profession, but it is one of the most important careers for helping all of humanity! Teachers don't receive the recognition that they deserve. This world really is upside down. The sports players and entertainment industry get paid a fortune just to "entertain". But those careers that can make a difference in the lives of children and molds them into our "tomorrow" are taken for granted. I wish teachers would receive more recognition, more help and more pay. Teachers hold the development of our world in their hands. All of the frustration and dedicated work that you do is worthwhile.
I want to thank you Yukas for what you do to help children learn and teaching them to care for one another, regardless of their religious practice, or any other diversity. You are a gem! You make a difference to this world by sharing your self. Thank you Yukas!
Hugs, Faithfullight
