Not sure my post above explains what I meant - so to clarify; IMDB (Internet Movie Data Base), stores information about as many movies, TV series (and events) and related media as possible - in this instance, the ABC In Concert information is solely for the purpose of that information.

Eh? That's just its IMDB page, nothing "confusing" about it. (been a member there since 2004)
"Sale"? "Order"? "Download"? Seems like jonathanjzero is the only one who got it...
... which just reminds me; I'm off to check the "Oscar Buzz" board, no idea when the "best documentary" is on tonight (go Herzog!)

I remember way back when I was searching again for 'The Hoaxer's Midnight Daydream', I somehow followed a link and landed up at IMDb. Nowadays if I need any info on a movie, IMDb is the first place I look at - although, ALOT of movies cop a blow from reader reviews... like e.g. 'The day the earth stood still'! I liked it and so did my son. Anyway (despite some picky reviewers), the site is a great source of reference. As for me 'getting it' ;D (thanks Milan  ), well... that's only cuz yew and eye are sew clevva! ;D Back then when I first saw it, I went searching everywhere with hopes high then less high then...  back to square one...  bu', until I did learn stuff abou' i' I fought it meant it could be bought ass well! I think what can add some confusion, is the advertising all over the place. I thought I'd check out their f.a.q. for you Chris - and it paints a better picture of what I was trying to explain before - even if Milan got it that I get it heh heh ;D ;D ;D 'Get it?' 'Got it!' On a related note, I attened a broadcasters convention a few weeks ago and ran into DICK CLARK himself at a reception.....being the Cat Stevens nut that I am, I mentioned the upcoming DVD release of the Cat Stevens tour film, and mentioned that his company holds probably the next best thing which of course is the ABC "In Concert" show...I urged him slightly to consider relesing it, and he gave me a basic "we'll look into it" response.. ..Basically, Dick Clark Productions is very tight with their stuff and release only a few titles that are guaranteed big money makers...It's terrible that he is really selfish with what is considered to be a wealth of some of the best music ever commited to film/video....

Well that was 2004. Now it's 2009 and YI/CS is making a big comeback, and naturally there will follow a greater demand for YI/CS, they will think again, and release this treasure.  Till then we will continue to hold our breath  , until we no longer breathe.  ;D |

I think it's understandable Vivian feeling this way. Vivian like many other members have devoted many hours, days,nights, and years to this site, and at some point, it does take it's toll. It is a bit of an unreal world. I guess most have relaxed a little, and we can sleep, knowing he is back and he's not shying away from his public. YI has mad it clear, that he is going to be around for for quite a while. So after Majicats long persistance , it is finally happening. Maybe the voice of Majicat was finally heard, and it's time to live in the real world of YI.  According to CS's " LIFE",...." Life, you make it what it is"  'Life' has a different meaning for all of us. I guess when something does not make you happy any more, or satisfies you, it's time to move on. Again Vivan, have a safe journey, enjoy yourself, and I look forward to seeing you on the board again. |
