I have a rare teaser and the firecat picture book from 1972 in quite good condition.It has about 20 pages , with drawings by cat stevens in on one side and the story on the other in about 11 differant languages. I cannot find any details on line of any other of these books (i was told it was given away with the first number of copies of the teaser and the firecat albumn when it was first released but i have no confirmation of this.) I would like to sell it as i am a struggling musician but have no real idea of its worth or where to sell it. Can anyone help me please ?

Hey Darren--I too have a "Teaser" children's book, but mine is only translated into 3 languages. (english, spanish, and french) I bought it on E-bay for $20 which I thought was a great price because I'd never seen one. (I actually framed it to prevent wear and discoloration) There are several on the internet offered for sale ranging from $32 to $102. (Amazon prices) Hope this helps!! Good luck!

I have that same book in 11 languages. It's quite rare. You can try selling it on E Bay, as I've seen them go for a pretty penny!

Is your copy a hardback rather than soft? I believe the first UK pressings had the 11 languages with the hardback cover. The 3 languages with softcover is US version that came out later and those are more plentiful. I just checked UK ebay and don't see it for sale now or in the completed auctions section. But I remember seeing one a couple months ago for auction and it sold quickly. I think it went for around 15-20 pounds

I was at a thrift store yesterday and I always look for old toys and books. I happened to see the Teaser and the Firecat picture. I then realized it was a book by Cat Stevens. I have been a fan since 1976. I bought it and paid .25 cents. Some pages are loose but I am very happy to own the book.
