If my memory servers me correctly his concert at the Capital center opened with a magician on stage and made Cat pop out of a stack of boxes sitting on casters . Great trick great way to begin the concert.

Great trick great way to begin the concert. Hi, flightdoc, welcome to the board! That sounds like the Majikat concert tour you're describing, which was in 1976, I believe. Unless he used magicians in earlier tours, which is certainly possible. Anyone else have ideas? joni... |

the funny thing is that my friend DID see him on the Majicat tour, Köln 23. IV 1976, but doesn't remember any of that magic business...

it was pretty interesting. the magician did his thing as they all do. nothing special with his tricks. the background music playing was one of Cats big songs ( don't remember which) and when he came out of the box he ran up to a guitar sitting on the stage and went right into that song that had been playing in the background. Never missed a beat.

'74 was the Bamboozle tour. No magicians. Linda Lewis toured with him on this one.
