Does anyone have any idea what the chord progression for "Bitter Blue" is. When watching two live performance I'm convinced there isn't a simple progression of G - C/G mid verse. That being said I've scoured the web and sheet music only to find simplified progressions.
Any help would be mos appreciated.

Hi Trix, I've seen a live performance somewhere before on the net. I'll check it out now and see what I come up with.

It's mostly quick chord changes from C, F,G, C/G, D Here you go every time I put a chord name down that is a strumm. C,C,C,F,C,G,G, C,C,C,F,C,G,C,G, G,G,G,C/G,C/G,G,D,G. I think the rest is on the guitar tabs section. After the site goes back up you will have it in it's entirety.

yeah, as workahollis1 said.
also, notice that F here isn't the barré chord.

also, notice that Alun plays it with capo on the 5th fret, meaning his fingers are positioned for the G chord.

Let me try to insert the chords into the lyrics. I'm putting the chord before the word but it's actually played on the word. (C)I(C)gave(C)my(F)last(C)chance(G)to(C)you (C)Don't(C)hand(C)it(F)back(C)to me(G)bitter(C)blue (G)(G)(G)(C/G)(G) My(D)bitter(G)blue(G)(G)(G)(C/G)(G) My(D)bitter(G)blue Then repeat that with the second half of the verse then(D)(D)I've been running a (G)long time(C)on this traveling(A)ground(D)(D)wishing hard to be(G)free of(C)going round and (A)round yeah(D)yeah oh yes I've been running(G)along time(C)but only up and(F)down(C)own(D)own (Dsus4)(D)(F)(F)(F/E)(F/E)(F/D)(C) the back to the top. He does have a key change in the middle that goes exactly like the first part except moved lower 3 frets. as so. After the (G) so (G)Bitter(A)Blue(A)(A)(A)(Asus4)(E)(E)(E) (A)(A)(A)(Asus4)(E)(E)(E) (D)(D)yes I've been running(G)along(C)time summers come and(A)gone oh (D)whoa drifting under the (G)dream clouds(C)past the broken(A)sun oh (D)yes oh yes I've been living a(G)long(C)time to be back (F)beyond(C)ond(D)ond (Dsus4)(D)(F)(F)(F/E)(F/E)(F/D)(C). I hope this helps some.
