Just wanted to share this song by Zain Bhika with you all. Listen to it from here. www.islamicportal.netfirms.com/nasheed/youareneveralone.ramSometimes when the world's not on your side You don't know where to run to You don't know where to hide You gaze at the stars in the sky At the mountains so high Through the tears in your eyes Looking for a reason to replace what is gone Just remember, remember That you are never alone You are never alone Just reach into your heart and Allah is always there You are never alone Through sorrow and through grief Through happiness and peace You will never be alone So now, as you long for your past Prepare for you future But knowing nothing's gonna last You see, this life is but a road A straight and narrow path To our final abode So travel well O Muslim and Paradise will be your home and always remember that you are never alone

I posted this song for a Sister, who has chosen a Muslim name of a Great Lady in Islam. Don't let others let you down.

That made me feel better. Thanks Bangali.
Islam or not, it's a universal truth... what the song says.

LadyD, I second your thoughts on his high-pitched voice.
When I very first listened to the A is for Allah CD, I thought I heard a WOMAN singing!

Yeah he does sound quite a bit like Michael Jackson. The title of the song 'You are never alone' is also very similar to 'You are not alone' by Michael jackson. The lyrics on Zain's songs are usually good as they are mostly written by Yusuf Islam. However, no-one can match the original and distinctive voice of Cat Stevens/Yusuf Islam.

Gizmo, I wasn't able to listen to the song that you posted. My computer wouldn't work with your link. What are the words to the song about Joseph? I also thought that Zain Bhika sounds like Michael Jackson! He is talented no doubt about it, but I too, like Yusuf Islam's voice better. Yusuf has the ability to express his emotions as well as the voice that can soothe with heartfelt kindrance. Faithfullight

The link should work now. Anyway, the lyrics are below:
(the Story of Prophet Yusuf)
When he was placed in the well or locked in the dungeon betrayed by his own flesh and blood convicted of what he did not handsome Yusuf sighed Allah is enough for me! Taken in as a slave made to work night and day resisting all temptation Allah is enough for me!
Until the king had a dream Many hard years had gone by patience and repentance Allah is enough for me!
Till...the fortunate day there he sees his father in the land of content Allah is enough for me!
Handsome Yusuf cried Allah is enough for me!
Every night brings a new day Allah alleviates all pain Everything has its end Allah is enough for me!
Everything has its end Allah is enough for me! Allah is enough for me!
