Let me put this as succinctly as possible:
[glow=red,2,300]I WANT TO GO!!!!![/glow] ;D
As I mentioned over at CS.com, I have vacation time I need to use up, and if I can manage to get a) a ticket, and, b) a good deal on a flight across the pond, I would love to attend this event. I think it will be not only very entertaining but informative as well. Anyone else seriously considering a jaunt to Merry Olde England for this?

Oh My... I don't know what to say. This is totally fabulous news. It's so nice to see that Yusuf is going to perform live *again* and with some of his peers. It sounds like an awesome event.
I wish I could go, but since I can't, I hope that it is a sell out.
Peace, Christine

Me, definitely! I also have to check with my funds but given that I just finished school, I think I deserve a treat. I just checked the Royal Albert Hall site and it doesn't seem to be selling the tickets yet... at least no events pop up when I hit Oct. 20th. Wow, it would be so amazing to be able to attend that show. I know it wouldn't be "Cat Stevens" up there (well, technically YEAH but you know what I mean) singing Cat songs but seeing Yusuf perform again would be amazing! And talk about a nice school benefit! We had a little fundraiser dinner thingy at Columbia the other day which consisted of cold finger sandwiches and an outdoor four-piece band. LOL - Lissette Let me put this as succinctly as possible: [glow=red,2,300]I WANT TO GO!!!!![/glow] ;D As I mentioned over at CS.com, I have vacation time I need to use up, and if I can manage to get a) a ticket, and, b) a good deal on a flight across the pond, I would love to attend this event. I have a $161 voucher for United...long story...so I was hoping to put that to good use. Do you think Virgin might accept a United voucher? lol Of course, what would really thrill me to death would be to catch YI on the 20th in London, then pop over to Paris to see BOWIE on the 21st. HAHA! I need to win the lottery for that one. 'Course, it would help if I played it, I suppose. Let me get the ball rolling & see if I can get the time off work before I make any other arrangements. Oh, and Lissette, I think the Night of Remembrance site said the ticktes go on sale on the 22nd. You may want to double-check that. -Joanne

wow.... bowie in paris the 21st??? you don't really need the lottery, the eurotunnel will get you to paris cheaper than a plane ticket and doesn't take too long.... worth considering...could this become the holiday of a liftetime or what? Yusuf..then bowie... if bryan ferry is playing anywhere there there i will be 'adolescently complete' LOLOL

You know, I might go and see Yusuf, but I probably have to go on my own, I have a good chance meeting him after the performance.
I take it no musical instruments will be there?

Viv, a DVD player is not expensive. I saw one on sale a few months back for $49. Or you can install a DVD drive on your PC. I would think that they would put the show on VHS too.
Justin, try to go and let them know that you have a Cat website. It might get you backstage.
Hey, there are no stringed instruments, but the way the music is written and arranged you won't miss the instruments.
Love ya, Katie
