A children's book and animated short were produced from the story of Teaser and the Firecat. The illustrations are simple and delightful. I have so enjoyed rediscovering this book I would like to share it with you all. Attachments:

Teaser and the Firecat, album cover art. Thank you, Yusuf! (One of the things I love about this image is the graffiti on the fence; his initials "S.G." and the symbol for his birth sign Cancer.) Attachments:

These are beautiful Fireowl. Do you have the book? Where can we get it?

Yes, I do have the book. I bought it at an auction several years ago. It is has been out of print for many years now, that's one of main reasons I wanted to share it with this group.

Teaser and the Firecat, album cover art. Thank you, Yusuf! (One of the things I love about this image is the graffiti on the fence; his initials "S.G." and the symbol for his birth sign Cancer.) Thanks for the details, I never saw his initials. I also noticed the grafitti that says "broken fence" next to the break in the fence! Little sense of humor thrown in...gotta love it!! ;D PS I, too, have the book... it's in a frame because it is autographed by the author/illustrator himself (on the inside cover)! PPS You can still find them for sale occasionally, like on E-bay, etc. There is also one translated into, I think, 12 languages instead of only 3! (little more scarce)

I have the 11 language book. The scarce edition is actually the hard cover edition. Though, the 11 lauguage edition is produced on much better quality paper and the cover is heavier ply than the 3 launguage.
Incognita, you can usually locate the Teaser book on ebay.

This shouldve been a gatefold of the album cover. Sorta reminds me of the back cover to "Buddah & The Chocolate Box". This also reminds me, wasnt there a "Numbers" book too? Id like to see that one.

The "Numbers" book came with the album...pretty cool. It wasn't in the one I bought all those years ago, but I got one on e-bay.

Thank you, Fireowl, for all of your fine efforts in bringing Cat/Yusuf's "Teaser and the Firecat" book to life, page by page, here... so very well done! It's been fun to read through Majicatters' remembrances of some of the 'bonus gifts' that Yusuf (as "Cat") would invariably include in his LP packages. Does anyone still have the "Polar Ink Sketch" poster board from his "Foreigner" album? I would bet that many, if not most, of you do. I'm curious: as Richina has done with her "T&TF" book, does anyone have it framed? -Bud

Oh, and I just remembered one more added 'gift' that Cat included for us in the "Foreigner" album: that beautiful Jamaican beach post card! Who recalls/has that colorful card? That's one post card that I'm certainly glad I never sent! -Bud

The reason I framed my copy of T & F, is because Yusuf autographed it for me in L.A.!! ;D And also because that is my favorite album. I have the polar bear sketch, the postcard, the calendar (from Greatest hits), the Numbers book, and the poster in Back to Earth...but they were not in the albums I originally bought in the '70s, because I would have kept them (or at least remembered them). I purchased albums from E-bay that had the inserts. After I bought the Foreigner album (on ebay), I went and looked in my early (well worn) one, and lo and behold what did I find?? The beach postcard .. Who'd a thought , after all that time?? Love it!!
