Thanks for posting Sue, thanks for sharing Helen. Yeah.. Morning Has Broken.. very nice to hear again live after all these years. The beginning of this version sounds a LOT like the version on "9 Lives", with the use of different chords. I see he doesn't sing the third verse in D but stays in C... I guess you can't have a young man's voice forever.. but it's ok Yusuf, you sound wonderful!
Correction: Actually, according to my guitar (!!!) he sings it in B Flat and stays in B Flat. Anyway, you get the picture.

Thankyou Sue for all your effort, and for not giving up Yusuf is a great story teller. He lives every word, as he does with his songs. I can just picture his grandaughters pulling him by his hand, trousers, begging him to read a story book. I doubt he would need much persuasion though. Hard to resist darling grandchildren or any children. I'm sure he has read his own Teaser story book. What a site that would be. After hearing the videos, I have to agree with Glaucus that 'Morning Has Broken', sounds very much very much like the version on 9Lives Demo. Glaucus has a very good ear for music, very well trained, as most musicians are. Every song was sweet music to my ears. Good to see Yusuf so relaxed and talkative, and funny, with his audience. Even better than his 70's concerts. I think the upcoming London concert, will be one never to forget.

Really appreciate all the work that you do Sue, thanks again. Just wondering, why does the guy in the front row, wearing a white t-shirt, always have his back to the stage? Is he the cameramans assistant? Or is he a security man? He's missing all the concert.

Here's a question for all the Birmingham concert goers: were the folks who had floor seats up and dancing about to the music or were they in their seats? I have a hard time sitting still when the music moves me at a concert. Just curious. Thanks.
Bob I know what your saying. I had a floor seat and I found it hard just to sit there and not get up and dance. ;D Even if I was not in the arena I find it hard to keep still. At one stage I stood up and clapped then I think a few more people did so as well. The thing is people did not stand up and dance , although I wanted to badly and found it hard not to stand up, because if I did it would not be fair for people sitting behind me. At Sheperds bush as alot of us were standing every one was singing and dancing.

[cu soon Gabi
You would remain seated if your the only one sitting in the front row (the rows were not long) and your husband is sitting a couple of rows behind you and no one else standing to dance. Hard but possible

I think people were quite aware that they did not want to spoil other people's view and enjoyment. I would have loved to sing along a bit more, but was not so sure my seat neighbours would have felt the same. They had come to see and hear Yusuf after all! I know what you mean though-some of the songs just demand you to be up and moving!

Thanks Sue for the info on the men in white. Great to see Yusuf work up the courage to start clapping, giving the green light to his audience to clap along to Wild World. Yusuf would not have dared to do such a thing a few years ago. This just shows how much he was enjoing performing again, and how right it felt for him to be on stage delivering what he does best, and making us all very happy. I think he must be feeling on top of the world now. Sue and Helen, what would we do without you.

I know what you mean about singing and dancing..I would find it almost impossible not to dance to "Tuesday's Dead"!! At the LA show, I have no idea what any one behind me was doing since we were at tables right in front of the stage. But there were a lot of standing ovations, so I was okay. Yusuf, unfortunately didn't really play anything to dance to, it was mostly stuff off of Roadsinger...you know, not quite disco!! But did I sing every word...you bet I did, and thank goodness there were only a couple of people that had to hear me. Did I care? NOPE, I was too lost in the majic of it all, as I know everyone is when there! ;D You just don't know how it feels till you are caught up in the thrill of it all. It's really hard to describe. Just believe me when I tell you...you will have a memorable night!! PROMISE!
