What a beautiful, and unexpected surprise that was. Long and Winding Road was just perfect for Yusuf. Did you all hear what he said just before he sang the song..."I LOVE YOU TOO!!!" Haven't heard that for quite a while. That kind of response reminds me so much of his 70's concerts. After watching the new videos from Liverpool, it was obvious he was feeling SOOO GOOOD. ;D I thought he could not get any better, but everytime he has proved that he has alot more to offer. He is going to be a knock out in London. Thankyou for sharing the videos.

I hope you feel better Regine!! All I can say is that if I were going to the concert....dude, I'd load up on so many "belly meds", I'd have a hard time finding my belly, much less feeling it hurt! No really, I hope you get over whatever it is that is ailing you, my friend....and hey, you wouldn't have any trouble keeping up with me and my "Action Jackson" self...I'd probably have a time keeping up with you! ;D If it were me who was sick, I'd have to put it off to nervous excitement!!!! i want to go.... sniff-sniffY'all have fun for all of us...and sing real loud, so Yusuf can hear you! ;D tee-hee (just kidding Jane )

The donkey story went something like this: The tillerman was walking through the village leading his donkey when people started to laugh and jeer: why is that stupid man leading his donkey, when he could ride? So he climbed onto the donkey and travelled a little further till he came upon some more people who berated him for riding the donkey, saying it was cruel and the donkey was too small for such a load. He then dismounted and lifted up the donkey onto his shoulders and carried it along. The story ended with the comment " And that's the last time I listen to the people"! At least, that's how I heard it.

Just back from Liverpool, the whole night was fantastic, met up with Rosemary :-) the Moonshadow musical is going to be something special if the excerpt we saw is anything to go by, everyone enjoyed it, Yusuf was so relaxed and happy he made jokes about the Liverpool accent which is sometimes difficult to understand, when he came back for the first encore and sang The Beatles "Long & Widing Road" the crowd sang along with him - was a special thing to do in the home of the Fab 4 - that wasnt enough for the adoring crowd they shouted and shouted for more until he came back again and sang Father & Son - throughout the night he encouraged us to sing along with him - and he loved it - i have to get some sleep to get on the "peace train " to London tomorrow to see it all over again .

Wow! It seems that Yusuf gets better with every concert. I mentioned once, when his Another Cup CD came out, that with time as he becomes more comfortable with performing, he would get better and better. I believe that this is truly happening, as one only needs to watch Yusuf's singing of Tuesday's Dead in Liverpool, a song he sings to perfection. I truly wish that I was there in Liverpool, not only because I truly admire the man, and love his music, but also because his concerts are becoming works of art.

Thanks Maya. I think the message this tale sends, just about sums it up. Yusuf is long last at peace with himself. The only person he feels he has to answer to, is, God.
