According to that timeline in the website I posted, Cat's final concert in the UK was December 75.
He played in Greece in 76 in much controversy as is well known, he never performed again as Cat Stevens.
So, any fog in 76 was probably the misty eyes as he waved goodbye!

Oh I have been rattling my brains.
I think in 1972 was a concert at The Festival Hall. I could not get tickets.
Then 1974 The Bamboozle. I went to that one in Oxford.
You may be correct the year 1975, thats probably when the fog was bad in London and I could not get there.
Then 1979 Year of the child at Wembley. I did not go as I was heavy pregnant.

I've been late getting in my twopennyworth but what an evening. The only thing that marred it was the behaviour of the people in the box next to mine who had wine and beer and got progressively drunker and louder. The music was loud so they were shouting ebven louder to make themselves heard. They had no real interest in the concert or the folks who had paid decent money to be there. To make matters worse thet hadn't paid for their tickets! They had Yusuf tagson saying Production. After the show I compained to Yusuf's staff and fur might fly, I think. Rightly so! OMG this is bad. Yes fur should fly ;D It's delightful. I'm enjoying every bit of it. Thanks so much Chris

Thankyou Helen and Regine for the photos. Now you have really put me in the picture. It was lovely seeing many familiar faces again, and some new faces. You both had very good seats at the concert. Helen, were you on a balcony? Ooooh!!!, I wish I could have been there. Regine, you and Marie looked very comfortable in the front seat of the van. The very same seat that Yusuf sits in. ;D Lucky girls. I'm sure, like me and my sister, you will always remember Helen's and Peters warm hospitality, and cooking. Helen, the atmosphere in your home looks and feels very warm and inviting, and the company, beautiful. It bought back unforgettable memories for me. I can see everyone was having a wonderful time. The birthday cake and candles must have been a real surprise for Jane. I wonder what Jane wished for. ;D Not hard to guess. Helen, you're the BEST!!!! The same goes for Peter, your other half. You both have a special way to make people feel at home. Yes I saw the mug, and the Wanted T-Shirt looks great on you.

Got back from the UK Thursday evening, and am pretty much still walking on air. What an amazing show! Having seen Yusuf perform several times these past few years (starting with the NoR gig back in 2003), I feel like I've now seen what a "Cat" concert would have been like. The energy, joy, and good vibes flowing from the stage out into the audience and back again were tremendous. And Yusuf seemed so at ease and just "into it" this time 'round. ;D Hearing Morning Had Broken brought unexpected tears to my eyes. It was one of Mom's favorite tunes, and all of a sudden I was back in my childhood singing it at Sunday services again. What an absolute treat! Bad Breaks, quite simply put, kicked a**! Loved the medley of the truly old tunes, and Wild World and Peace Train were sublime. While I didn't manage to get to speak to Yusuf directly during the post-gig autograph bit, I did manage to pass a gift to him via Yoriyos. (Thank you Yoriyos!) Helen, it was lovely of you to have us all over for lunch again - you and Peter are so kind and have such a wonderful sense of hospitality. And thank you for letting me arrive so very late! LOL Jet lag really knocked me for a loop this trip. Sue, my everlasting gratitude for making it possible for me to go to this show - soooooooooo happy! ;D ;D ;D Was great to see you and Bill again. Jane, I'm really happy we got to spend so much time hanging out. Looking forward to the next time, too. Meg - so glad we finally had a bit more time to visit. Been awhile since NoR, eh? Chris and Annie and Michelle - sorry I missed you all at Helen's. Eduardo, I didn't realize it at the time, but that was you I "borrowed" a cigarette from after having given all mine away to Yoriyos. My brother and his family are due here shortly for lunch, so I must keep this brief... Ciao for now! Love, Joanne

As well as enjoying your great photos all of our fellow happy 'catters, I really enjoyed that wonderful shot you captured of the exterior of "The Royal Albert Hall" in its totality, Gabi... what a beautiful building it is!

And speaking of the beautiful RAH, did any of our Majicat attendees take the time to attempt to 'check the math' of the folks referred to in those legendary Beatles lyrics of days gone by that claimed: "... now know how many holes it takes to fill the Albert Hall..."? Nah! Somehow I have the feeling that all eyes were on Yusuf that evening! -Bud
