You are talking the age of the concerts you have attended here. So I will attempt almost "out old you". I saw Cat Stevens open for Traffic in November 1970 - it was one of his first visits to the United States. He was in Philadelphia. From there he traveled on to the Fillmore East - West and in between. Opening for Joni Mitchell as well on the way. At everyone of these stops - he didn't talk - as he was the opening act. I sat in the front row - my grandmother had taken the bus to get me a ticket to see Traffic - and this was before credit cards and Ticketmaster - she road the bus downtown and went to the box office. I think when they saw her - the gave her the front row center seat - which is where I ended up. I was 24 years old and going through a divorce. You know how you hate that opening act - well out came this most gorgeous man I'd ever seen - and then he opened his mouth - and out came the most wonderful voice I had ever heard - and have heard since. The crowd wouldn't let him off the stage - 3 encores. It happened at every place he went. The rest is history. And as I have mentioned - my nose print it still on the stage. It was like "Traffic who" - anti-climatic. I immediately went out and bought every album. Grandmother's can do wonderful things. There is your story Jane - hope I got it up in the right place. The photograph below is from the Dublin Concert - November 15th - 2009. The best to all, Marge Attachments:

There was one thing I left out of my review - I didn't know Alan Davies was on stage with him for 30 years. When I saw some of the old BBC Footage - I saw Alan was sitting there - and I thought to myself - OMG - I never saw anything except Cat. I felt foolish - but my hormones were working at that point of my life... LOL
