If you all would like to learn Cat Stevens songs on piano, i.e. Maybe You're Right, Miles From Nowhere, King of Trees, etc... Request these songs on Youtube, if you have an account, to the user of Webpianoteacher2. If he gets enough requests he will do the lessons.
Thanks

Hello bennyhanna,
I just came across your request for piano instruction. Miles from Nowhere is one of my favorite Cat songs to play on piano. It has a cool honky-tonk feel. Also, Maybe You're Right was the first song I ever played in public.
How far along are you in your piano training? Do you read music & know all the chords? I can write out an arrangement of the songs, or maybe put togeter a video (never done that before). The arrangements you see in the song books are not quite the same as what you hear. There are these embelishments you add as part of the style.
Good luck!

Hey Budster!
Hope you're doing OK. Thanks for the recommendation.
I remember on the old Catstevens.com site I submitted a few songs, including Maybe You're Right. There also used to be a feature in chat where people could talk to each other & even jam together. There used to be some excellent musicians online, like Kay and Ged Roman. I played Miles from Nowhere once live.
I am really inspired to put together an instructional video. I learned a lot from watching Workahollis' guitar videos (thanx by the way, W), and I'm not that great a guitar player. I just got to get a tripod or something to hold the camera over the keyboard so's you can see what I'm doing. I'll let y'all know when I get something out on Youtube.
Laters,
Mike (AKA Qizlo)

Laters, Mike (AKA Qizlo) Thanks, Qiz, and you're quite welcome. Yes, I clearly recall listening to your excellent song submissions to the old "cat.com", and remember, as well, what a blast folks had during those "Cat Chat Song Fests". I wish you the best of luck as you put together your instructional video, Mike... and I look forward to seeing you on YouTube, my friend! -Bud

The instructional videos sounds like a great idea. I know chords and can read music, but I mostly play by ear.

Just wondering, haven't heard anything about the piano lessons. Let me know when you get the time to post them up.
