Majid, correct me if I'm wrong, but I thought that Muslim men were not allowed to have a lady singing with them? If its allowed, then me and Meg (rubylove) would have been Yusuf backing singers. You must of heard us singing "The wind" with Yusuf at Shepherd bush, London. |

:-) Rubylove has been "my song" and my Majicat name for as long as I can remember Im not in a very happy place in my life right now - my daughter and I have had a serious fall out which cannot be mended and Im devastated and hurt - but seeing Yusuf sing Rubylove has turned my sad tears into tears of joy - Helen nothing would please me more :-)

As a mother, who has two daughters, I can understand your pain. I know one thing I've learnt in this life, never say never. Time can heal and mend the hurt and devatation you are feeling right now, just have faith. In the mean time, keep listening to the person who knows so well how to sooth the soul, and keep crying tears of joy if that's what it takes to feel better. Oh there are times I think what would we do without Yusuf and his music. Here's a warm hug from me. And don't forget, you have a good friend in Helen that stands by you, and you will have all the support you need. Meg tell our friend Helen to :-Xsshhh a little, and stop bringing attention to the lady singing with Yusuf. She is spoiling your chance of becoming Yusufs next backup singings. ;D Anyway, she is not singing with Yuusf, she is singing way behind Yusuf, he can't even see her, she seems to be in the dark. |

Meg, I'm so sorry. I unfortunately spent most of my life in a similar situation, but on the daughter's side. I know all too well what I was denied and I hope your daughter realizes what she is denying herself. In the meantime, follow Vicki's advice and stay with those things that make you happy. Luckily, we can look forward to a bunch more Yusuf concerts and that means more photos and videos - and probably more "Rubylove" - just for you |

So many of us are getting to hear him sing one of our favorites. I got to hear him sing "Fill My Eyes" in London, Meg is getting "Rubylove" and now you have gotten the one you have been waiting for! I guess this is what we get for hanging in there for so many years, never giving up hope that he would return to song. I know Regii is waiting for "King of Trees" - I hope he does that one soon for you, Regii! |

Thanks Marshall, very good photos of Yusuf. I love them all, especially the one with his leg crossed, very lay back and easy, looks as if he truly is glad to be back, and were he is smiling, what a happy face that is. P.S, Marshall, I think you will have to be satisfied with 2nd position, well it's better than 4th. ;D I think your son will always hold 1st position for you, and your wife. |

Thanks Gabi No wonder Yusuf got the shakes. Trying to remember who wrote that he saw Yusufs leg shaking, but who wouldn't having to confront 11,000 after 36 years. If this is a photo of the actual night Yusuf performed in Melbourne, maybe Lister, Montypython, and Marshall can see themselves. Does anyone know who took the photo? |

Can't say I've ever been on stage but it doesn't look like Rod Laver.

Hey... I know these videos are delayed (youtube issue) but I thought I'll share them anyway. The quality is bad but it might give you a sense of how it was in the crowd BTW it was my sister filming so the woos and singing is all her... except during 'The Wind' that was me... hehe! At 1:00 his accent is soooo delicious!!! "I can't see you but I can hear you."
