To all Majikatters, I'm starting my very first Cat Stevens thread, and hope everybody will find very interesting to read about Cat Stevens in description and what a good-looking man he was. We were all beguiled by his looks, and in my opinion, he had charm, charisma, that really made audience intrigued, and that voice he had as Cat Stevens, was something which I'd describe to be, was romantic, uplifting, gentle, and last but by no means least, so wonderful I think that when he grew his beard in 1970, every female fan wanted to really get close to him, including myself. He conquered our generation with all those songs that were meaningful and brought us joy and happiness to our lives. Sweet peace Tiffany

I am sure if we're honest most of us would have to admit that his looks certainly did not hinder his cause!!!

Not to be disrespectful to his wife or family, but...
Cat Stevens is the best looking man I have ever laid eyes upon. A Grecian super-human.
But...even if he were hideous to look at - I would still worship his music. But the complete package was too much for the girls to handle. I can understand why he had to cut-off from his music to pursue his religious convictions for this reason alone. He truly was an idol to some extent.

What a lovely introduction you wrote to this thread, Tiffany.
I find it interesting that our Yusuf chose his name after reading a chapter in the Quran about Prophet Yusuf (peace be upon him).
Prophet Yusuf (pbuh) was given half of all physical beauty, but more importantly, he was beautiful from the inside as well as the outside. All the women were entranced by his good looks and many greatly desired him, but he remained pure.
Kind of does remind one of Cat Stevens/Yusuf Islam.
I thought that maybe someone else would find this interesting as well.

It's very interesting suncatcher. Obviously most us do not know him personally, but it seems evident from his music that he is even more beautiful on the inside.

I was about to say, well, you know some of us weren't really concerned with his looks, being male and hetero, but come to think of it, he was awfully cool looking, and probably the best template for what I've always wanted to look like.

I have always enjoyed Cat even as a child but iI didn't really become intrigued until the movie Harold and Maude. It was at that point his music became the soundtrack to my life.To have known Cat and been around to see him perform is something I will never have but through his music he will continue to inspire in me a goodness that all people possess but not many like Cat Stevens.

Interesting thought. Beauty is fascinating on many levels. I think that's why magazines and movies are so popular - we get to stare at beautiful people and maybe try to copy them - in "real" life, it would be too rude to just stare at someone like that.
