Father & Son ( 50 % Yusuf + 50 % anonimus cover ;D Good Heavens...... This is exactly why I don't want anyone "singing" around me when I'm at a concert! ;D

ha ha ha ha ha Hope this isn't anybody here...but I'd have to shoot that guy, in the nicest way possible obviously. I have never been to a concert in the States where people just sing out at the top of their lungs...I hope this is a European/Irish/Australian thing and not a Cat Stevens/Yusuf fanbase thing, lol (no offense intended to you singers out there)

It is almost CD quality because there is no amateur singing included. Sorry, but I don't pay to hear the audience sing. Why ruin Yusuf's beautiful voice?

I agree totally. I suppose some fans get carried away with the moment and can't help themselves. I also wonder if it is a cultural thing we're just not used to in North America? I know for a fact the Irish LOVE their sing-alongs. Whenever I used to hang-out in Irish pubs in NY, a sing-along would inevitably break out. lol well at that hour of the night more like a slur-along. haha

Oh, I forgot...I'm gonna sing along, but quietly. I certainly don't have a singing voice and would never be so loud as to be heard on a video. I wouldn't want to upset anyone around me. But when it comes to dancin', clappin', and whoopin' it up...y'all are on your own! Back up, I gotta do what I gotta do! ;D

Crobarbie - thank you many times over! You are a gem! I completely agree with Gabi. That was a brilliant finish to his stay in Australia. A couple more in New Zealand and he can get some rest and then, hopefully soon, we will hear news of the "Moonshadow" opening. I think we might see that before we see him do a North American tour.

My thanks too Gabi (and MAX452AU)! They are very clear and well done, even though Lilywhite was out of sync for me. Anyone else, or is it just my luck?

Thank you, Gabi. I woke up here at 5:00 A.M., thinking about the concert in Christchurch (where it's just after 8 P.M., if I calculated right), and found your now-in-sync video - once again, I had one of your videos to start the day - how lovely! Thank you!
~Sun~
P.S. Feels bittersweet to have reached the last concert - may God bless it in every way.

Hi everyone, Just wanted to thank the people who've posted the Brizzy concert clips above!! Watching them takes me right back to the night. How wonderful. How amazingly, fabulously, incredibly wonderful our night was!!! My husband and I managed to snap up a pair of Gold seat tickets and had a terrific vantage point. Our night actually began early on the morning of the 26th with Cat on my ipod, on youtube and in every player in the house and car. How unreal I find this time. When I joined the Cat site 10 years ago I could never have understood that in 2010 I'd have him on my 'ipod' and that I'd be 'googling' him up on 'youtube'. What a laugh those words and terms would have raised back then! We don't live too far from the Brizzy Entertainment Centre and so after we'd dolled up and rugged up against the cold night, we caught a train from Eagle Junction with the 100's of other 40,50,60 somethings all wearing an excited track to be with our beloved man of song! In a wonderful serendipity, that night of the 26th was a huge full moon, but not only that... between 8.15pm and 9.30pm we were treated to a lunar eclipse. Brisbane skies were casting a wonderful moonshadow over the entertainment centre at the exact moment that Yusuf came onto the stage!! The sky show wasn't lost on Yusuf and the band either. We were teased throughout the show with little moon references to peak our anticipation for Moonshadow! After the show my hubby and I sat in the bar tent reminiscing about our Cat Stevens moments since way back in the 70's. We didn't want to go home. Eventually the crowds dwindled to just a trickle of stragglers like ourselves squeezing the last bit of Cat-ness out of our momentous night and we called for our son to come pick us up as the pm faded and the am started to remind us that we just aren't young all night party peeps any longer. I feel as though a thread in my life that I had assumed would always remain outside of the weave... has been woven into a wonderful memory. The Cat came back and did the thing he does so well and I for one adore the man and his soulful and colourful evolution! Happy and contented Trishy

What a wonderful and well written review of the night Trishy! I can "feel" everything because you described it so eloquently! I understand not wanting the night to end. It's as if something you've anticipated all your life is now realized and relishing every last second is all you have left. It sounds as if the two of you had a fabulous and most special night....thanks for sharing! Richina

Richina, it was such a wonderful night and really a dream come true for me. His lyrics and songs have complemented my spiritual journey through life like trusted companions and that's really what my experience of the concert was.
