I would think that a singer who has survived tuberculosis would give up cigarettes, but Cat Stevens continued to smoke after his illness. I was wondering if he ever quit.

Yeah, Cat continued to smoke all through his Cat years, even after TB, however, once he became Yusuf, he did quit, which was long before Yoriyos was born, so it's hard to believe he would have picked up the bad habit that once belonged to his Dad, but alas, he did. Hopefully, he will gain some willpower and quit soon.

off topic but along the same lines...does anyone know if Yusuf is still a vegetarian? I know Islam does not prohibit eating meat, but i would presume after being vegetarian for so long, and based on how much Yusuf seems to love animals, it would be hard to start eating meat again. I've often wondered this (as I am a vegetarian myself)...does anyone know??? Just curious.
