The Magnificat. www.wf-f.org/Magnifi.htmlIt's a prayer, mostly associated with the Catholic faith. Just an observation Something that pops into my mind often. Majicat, Magnificat, you know. LOL

LOL I agree, Peacock. "Majicat" and "Magnificat" sound nice together, and amazingly similar. No wonder this pops into your mind (and now mine, too)! It's a lovely prayer - more of a humble act of worship than a request for something from God. Very special. Thank you for sharing it.

Maji were hereditary priests of the Median court in Persia who were skilled in astrology and dream interpretation. According to Christian gospels, three Maji astrologers located the young Jesus by means of an extraordinary celestial event which Christians call "The Star of Bethlehem." Tibetan monks make similar claims about finding reborn lamas. Ditto for Scottish druids. The cat is a sacred animal, often a symbol of royalty (lion), said to have many lives (like a bodhisattva). Jesus (Isa) is sometimes called the Lion of Judah. Attachments:

Ooh, great video, Christina. Cat did have soul, and when he plays piano, I really feel it - maybe it's his "connection to source," as you would say. I also feel it particularly strongly in Foreigner Suite.
Majicat has always reminded me of--Cat Stevens, plain and simple, and how great it is to be around Cat fans. Yusuf, too, but mostly Cat.
I know that Cat and Yusuf are one and the same soul, but only recently, with Yusuf's return to touring and performing some of his old songs, have the two really merged in my mind. It's as if Cat Stevens and Yusuf Islam traveled to two very different places and are now merging into a single bridge between those two places. And the name of the bridge is "Yusuf, the artist formerly known as Cat Stevens." So, Majicat has only lately reminded me of Yusuf.

For me Majicat is an extremely unique place to be;often thought provoking, often uplifting, joyful and cosy.....but also sometimes difficult and edgy especially with this bridging thing you talk of as regards Cat and Yusuf...............I came here as a privilidged guest but didnt really understand.....and for a while felt I was at the party under false pretence.....but with delicate searchings and probing questions and comments and posts from you all I am now as@ilovemycat so succinctly noticed ,feeling that even tho we all have our own take and focus on our common love of the Mans music(at LEAST that!!) we can all get along and share..........and I feel I have ,at last, some friends that understand me..........thankx for lettin me in! Majicat reminds me of sharing a cup of tea;a bottle of wine,or retsina....and a chat and laugh with some diverse and unique folk I hold dear.................thankx (and a bit of harmless flirting thrown in is a badboy bonus) ;D and some dancing and fun... richina where are you?and GREAT music!!!
