It was a fab show, one of the best. Maybe the best I've seen of seven shows. There were only about 4000 to 4500 people in the 8000 seater Forest National. Nevertheless, the audience was great and Yusuf in top form! In the first part he played 'Peace Train Blues' and not 'Don't be shy' (it appeared as one of the many encores) and 'Oh very young and 'Darkness' and 'Moonshadow'. Second part 'Roadsinger', 'Rubylove', Midday, Sad Lisa', and 'Roses'. No word from Yusuf that it was the last show of the tour. And it was warm, more hot in the venue. Even Yusuf mentioned it on stage. Here is a last little treat Yusuf during 'Wild World' pointing to the audience to sing along... Take care! Martina

The set list is missing 'Peace Train Blues'. Yusuf played it after the Medley and before 'Where do the children'

Meg got her "Rubylove." That's what matters Indeed, Jane! ;D I'm so happy for you, Meg... And I can't wait to hear of your emotions and impressions as he sang it! (You know, I have a feeling that this might not have been purely a random/'by chance' choice by Yusuf) -Bud

Just arrived home - very tired but very happy :-) Jane, I know you dont like the "singing along" but I just couldnt help myself I sang and cried all the way through and when I saw the Foreigner backdrop I almost knocked the lady sitting next to me out of her seat with excitement - but she was very nice when I explained to her afterwards :-) 2 downsides of the night for me - he didnt do "Bad Brakes " and many of the audience were still taking there seats half an hour into Yusuf's performance , it must have been distracting for him as some of them were passing in front of him and annoying for us as we had to keep standing up to let people get to their seats - But Yusuf as ever was excellent, I'll post more when I get some sleep - Jane if your "reminders" prompted Yusuf to sing Rubylove again I send you many hugs xxx Meg

Wow, I was tired, I didn't get home until, midnight Friday, have done nothing but sleep since! Well, what a great time we had in Brussels, meeting friends old and new. Regii, is such a wonderful hostess, I can't thank her enough for putting up with me for 2 days! Meg, also stayed at Regii's, for the first night we had a wonderful breakfast together, then Meg and I made a banner for the concert. We originally were going to put" MAJICATERS R HERE" but we ran out of marker ink, so it just said MAJICATTER'S . I could see that Yusuf, was straining to see what it said, The security man was pulling at my arm for me to lower it so we couldn't hold it up for long, unfortunately, Yusuf, didn't comment on it, we were hoping he would just mention that his Majicatter's (from all over the world) were clearly there. The concert was fabulous, as previously said, Meg's, dream came true, Yusuf, sang Rubylove, He did mention that because they were running out of songs, he would sing one from Harold and Maude, so I shouted "TWO FINE PEOPLE", but there was no reaction, LOL I was also hoping that he would "song Tuesday's Dead, but sadly it was not to be. Secretly hoping that he would be so into it, that his glasses would fly off again Even though we had four encore songs, the concert, seemed to be over in a flash. During the last song, Regii, made her way to the front and as Yusuf, was turning to leave, Regii, managed to get by the security and offered Yusuf, her gift of Belgian chocolates, Yusuf, came back to take them from her. It was a special moment for her After the concert, we "MAJICATTER'S" spent some time together, at a cafe, chatting away, it was so good to meet a recently new Yusuf, admirer, Kelly, (Avidfan) from the south of UK and Martina, who gave me some great tips on taking pictures. Thanks Marky49 to name a few. Of course the usual suspects were there too! Here are a few of the pictures I took. ... to follow...(waiting for them to load into photobucket)

Here i am with my toes lol Just had to work in the bowling today and later helping with my neighbour Christiane she is moving . What a night it was for me the best concert ,the sfeer the public and of cause Yusuf so fantastic ,i only hope his family help him eating all that choclat ,i bought him around a kilo and a box of 250 GRAM FOR AHMED THE CHAUFFEUR FROM THE VAN ,the poor guy said Yoriyos never share anything with him lol so i promised him a box of pralines but guess who was not there yes Ahmed. So Yusuf is the lucky one only i hope he don't get no indegestion.Fausia will need to keep a eye on him or everyone will eat choclats there lol. I had a very nice two days with Sue and a little bit Meg in the house and i am happy i could invite them to my house .They were also exelent helpers on the road to Brussel only my GPS WAS ACTING STRANGE LOL OR I WAS .And looking for the right hotel is also A HELL OF A JOB lucky you have taxi's to return back to Forest were my Belgian Friend Kaatje and her husband had taking care for the chocolats ,in no time everyone was arrived Sue,Meg ,Helen,Helens daughter ,Kaatje, her husband ,Martina,a new fan Kelly found in Megs hotel (you find them everywhere,we are like magnets)Megs friend Marylou and her sister in law(were in London to) Peter we found in Forest itself he was sitting right in front of Sue and me ,we had a nice chat. Doreen(Christalina) and her husband we met after the concert.A lovely group but we were missing the others from the German concert ,i now Jane would have fly over the ocean if she could to share this fantastic night ,Marie was baking in the sun in Greece so that was a bit of difficult but also Silvia could not manage to come (why on earth do you need to pay for trains and Airplains .We need to manage a fund for Majicatters if sponsors hear our call ,we wont to go to Amerika to .Yes from a good sourse we now South -America is next. What more can i say we had a fabelous night and wish everyone in Amerika or other country's who are waiting for him the same with all our hearts

Hey, aren't you suppose to sit by my side quietly when he comes to Montreal? ;D Geeez, Glaucus....what the heck, I'll sit with you! Oh wait, we'll be in different sections...yep, I'll be in the "feisty" section and you'll be on the quiet side savin' my buddy Jane a seat. Well, I guess we can just wave at eachother! But you know, by the time he gets through with South America, I may have celebrated a couple more birthdays and might not feel like dancin' during his show ....

South America is next???!!! Finally!! I can't believe it!! It's now or never Rio de Janeriro is a bit far for me I am hopeful that Montevideo is a stop on the tour. Many important musicians have played in Montevideo: Bob Dylan, Eric Clapton, Paul Simon, James Taylor, Jethro Tull, Elton John, Sheryl Crow, Rod Stewart, Sting, Mark Knopfler, Lou Reed, and many others. But if not here, I hope it is in Buenos Aires that is accessible to me.
