fun idea M.!! x
when I was in London the week of the 20th .. I stopped there and it is under construction .. its a lovely space with a beautiful aura.. I've been in it top to bottom when I met previous owner...
the roof was fun to go up to too!!! previous owner wanted to do yusufs after party when his musical opened in London .. but it all has changed now .. guess not meant to be ~~ x
A boutique sounds like a lovely idea like perhaps what they've done to this church in nyc and also formely "The Limelight"
its like a marketsquare ...
I wonder how yusuf feels about it .. being the house one grows up in and all...

How awesome...but darn, it looks like they only want to rent it!  Ill bet Yusie could persuade them otherwise though..$$$$$$$ That would be so neat if he bought it! Not to mention, my husband would be thrilled to get all my "objets d' art" out of the house. ;D I'm kidding, but I wouldn't be able to see them anymore  Oh well, I could let a few go, just for posterity! ;D Remember, we could charge admission... and we would have to have a grand opening with the guest of honor present of course!!   Ooh, it's sounding better and better!! Ooh, ooh...he'd need someone to run it. You know, to rake in and count all that moolah-lah! Also someone would have to dust all that "bric-a-brac"! That could be me, and since I was the caretaker...well, then I would need the red bedroom.  ;D See how that all worked out??  |

I wonder how long it's been on the market... Yusuf really should consider renting it for a limited engagement and stock it with memorabilia - do you think he really walked away from everything? He must still have some things he could showcase. After a few months (and a little fat to make the deal enticing) - they could put it back on the market to rent. The great part is that Yusuf would not have to buy the place unless the exhibit was a great success (and why would it not be?) He could even try to restore it back to the way it looked when he was a wild & groovy artist. We have a John Lennon exhibit in NY that Yoko provided items for- I think it was supposed to be for a limited engagement. But it it's been open for quite a while now. |
