Hi everyone,
Many thanks for your comments welcoming me as the new owner of Majicat. I tried as hard as I possibly could for several years to keep Christine running Majicat but this year she really had had enough. We just couldn't let all her amazing work disappear! So at the moment whilst we switch to my new webhost the site is down. I hope to have the old site back online for a while (not long though as per Christine's wishes) whilst I work on a new site with George and Annie. We have a lot of work to do and it'll take some time so pages will be added as and when we get the time to amend the site. All the wonderful information available there will be retained but there will be a new look with hopefully some new things!
Best wishes to all and thanks for your patience and hopefully your help in the future!

:)Thanks Chris ,George and Annie.....you certainly have your work cut out!It will be worth it though....all this info on Cat/Yusuf needs to be available for folk in the near and far future, its a wonderful archive.......and nice for Christine to know that all her work lives on!...  |

Hi everyone out there in cyberspace,
I have just finished my sixth hour on line to the new Majicat web hosts. I am also in the process of consuming my third large whiskey which has helped me to get through this. Apparently now everyone has gone home for the weekend so the site cannot possibly be up and running 'til next week at the very earliest and because of Christmas, maybe not 'til a whole week later! Anyone who has been on the phone for countless hours getting nowhere must know how I feel. I have now had to pay for hosting the site twice and hope I don't get billed twice! It's a total nightmare. Please bear with me and I'll try to get things back to normal as soon as I possibly can.

I was on phone with pay pal customer service for 2 hours last night (which is in India) ...lovely souls but I felt like like I was doing the "Abbott and Costello" skit whose on 2nd no whats on 2nd lol .. no when .. omg.. Help!!!!!! hahahah ... I then went for the chocolate !!!! ;)x xo xoxo

Those Cat Stevens guitar tabs were wonderful, and I've learned so many songs using them. I hope they can come back sometime soon! Best wishes.

The guitar tabs here on the forum will stay. Were you referring to tabs on the main site? Since I do not play guitar I don't even know if there WERE tabs there.
Have you looked at the ones here on the forum?

Thanks, Monika - I never took notice of the tabs  I am guessing something like that will still be on the main site. Chris will be able to tell us for sure when he is back at it after the holidays. |

Hello Novim ,
I hope you are doing well and the team is too!
I've been going over the Random Threads and smiling quite alot ..we have shared sooo much with each other its been such a gift ..
I just cant help mentioning that
I'm going to miss alot about the original site .. and some of it that is being taken away .. there were parts of our hearts we shared ... where I could see the correlations of how we all have come to love and respect Yusuf .. that I've been grateful for .. and since the threads have been locked Iv'e been really reading them and copying some art info and such , and I just wanted to take the time to say thanks again everyone for sharing all that you did of yourselves and what you are passionate about .. .. the time you took .. I've learned about so many majicatters and I feel a bond not only in our love for yusuf and his music and loving heart but in each one of our lives.. I'm going to misss that ...
I think its important to have interaction on many levels with a limit .. I hope you dont mind that I mention it .. it is such a friendly fan site ..and of course I can envision the yusuf section expanding in 2012 and the new look I'm so looking forward to that .. and what will be added !!.. .. but will miss that random chatroom feel too.... we have shared not only our love for Yusuf/Cat music and his living the generous caring life(God bless him)
but we have managed to learn how each other has lived daily and what genres of music we like and how are day went .. for those that wanted to share.. I'm going to miss that public interaction along with talking about yusuf and well the full circle of it. Its made me a better person xo

Hi Temo and Aurarisma,
Temo, The tabs on the main site WILL definitely be staying!!! As indeed all Cat/Yusuf related material will. I hope to get the site back up again soon in its original form but it's still an ongoing problem with the webhosts and it's driving me bonkers.
Aurarisma, I am sorry but the Random Thoughts threads will not be appearing again. As I suggested there are many ways of keeping in touch these days and maybe some Majicatters could continue their discussions there but this site will now just be dedicated to the man himself and everything to do with him. So if it has anything to do with Cat/Yusuf it won't be disappearing!

Hi everyone,
Happy New Year to all! After at least 10 hours on the phone I have now managed to get majicat.com back online. The webhosts have let me down badly by not taking direct action and apparently domain names can be in danger when they are transferred. Don't ask - I don't understand it either! Anyway, at the moment it's back! We'll now work on the new site and it'll go up with limited content which will gradually be added to as we copy information onto it from the old site. Please bear with us as it's a very time consuming procedure and we're new to this. We'll get there eventually!
