Regine that is a beautiful romantic story. Does this mean it will be their first concert together watching, and hearing Yusuf perform, this majical artist, the person who bought them together!!!! wow!!!!  Now that really is romantic. I have a feeling the night of the concert, Todd will be romancing Nursel and falling in love again all over again. ;D Regii I will be missing you all too, more than you know.    I'll survive. Regine you will be in very good hands , and in the company of very good friends, have a great time you middle aged groupies.  ;D Hope you get your wish this time!!!! ARE YOU READING THIS YUSUF!!!!! I'll try Berlin and Muenchen few days later... but, it wont be easy to catch the tickets. Well, only Munich for me (maybe also Vienna, but that I'll decide in the last couple of days)... but, now it seems to me that Europe is a liitle bit less enthusiastic for Yusuf's concerts than Australia was, where concerst were regularly sold out? I think that tickets are maybe too expensive for a lot of people, or am I wrong?  No, I don't think you're wrong. Europe is in deep crisis. Here in Greece we are really feeling the crunch. For many, it's like lambs being lead to the slaughter house. It's sad, but some people that are in very desperate siuations want to believe 2012 will truly be the end of this world, sad isn't it. Anyway don't want to spoil this happy occasion, so about Australia. I think Australians feel very isolated because of their geographical placement, and the majority were out of touch with what happened to CS, they were only left with sweet memories of the last time he toured and his timeless music when he left the business. So when they got news he was going to tour Downunder the feeling was unbelievably overwhelming. Australians welcome every overseas artist with open arms, but even more so when Yusuf arrived, because we all know what an enormous impact CS had Downunder in the early 70's. Take me for example, ;D I was living in Melbourne when he toured in 1972, and I saw him perform, and what an unforgettable performance that was. It is an experience that I will never forget, and I guess it is the same for many others. Even though I am now living in Greece, when I found he was going Downunder, I got so excited, and felt so emotional reliving my first CS concert. I guess it was the same for all his fans living Downunder they wanted to relive the past. Plus they kept the spirit of his music alive with many tribute concerts. I'm not an economic expert , but when Yusuf toured in Australia, the world economic crisis had not hit Downunder in the same way. My brother who lives there says things are not as bad as Europe, but there is now a climate of unrest and uncertainty slowly setting in, domino effect. As you are more informed about the tour, do you know for a fact they are not sold out yet? If so, besides the economical factor, and world unrest, do you think it would have helped if more promotional work was done, or do you think they went about it the wrong way ? I don't have access to information about the tour here were I live through the press and media, only through the net, and his sites. I want to believe Yusufs European fans will not dissapoint him, and the tour will be a great success equal to the Australian Blue Moon Tour. Have a great time at the concerts Crobarbie!!! |

Yeah, tnx, I know that I'll (we all) have a great time :-) No, I do not have exact informations, but I was just checking last night which kind of tickets are still available, and I was able to find still enough tickets by Eventim. Even for tomorrow concert in Stockholm, and the arena there is not that big (cca 8000) as were in Australia. But, I am not afraid that the concerts will not be full, it is not possibble to find tickets in parter etc., I was just asking myself what is the difference between Europe and Downunder, and I think that you have explained it very good |

Sun, it's so nice to be back again. Everything else will just have to wait for this month I told my family, just kidding. You know how it is at times, work and loved ones, god bless them, can take up most of your day. It will be hard to keep away from the board this month, and I hope to be part of this majical month, don't want to miss a moment. Having to do wedding and baptism photo selections for albums on the laptop during the evening, makes it so much easy to go back and forth on the board without anyone realizing, it just takes a bit longer to get the work done. ;D Well I will make very effort to keep you company, and enjoy the excitment of the tour together. I made a post on Yusufs site wishing Yusuf, his Roadsters, and family well, all the best and success for his upcoming tour, but it never got posted. They must be really busy over, understandably, the final countdown has begun. Hope everything goes well in Stockholm, and gives Yusuf and all taking part, the strength, happiness, to see this Tour through to the end in good health, and well being. I will be making sure to keep myself very busy tommorrow, because the waiting is going to be nerve racking. I have a baptism in the morning, and a wedding in the afternoon, so the day will just fly in time to get back to the board in hope for a first hand report. Have a good night everyone, think I might stay up a little while longer. ;D |

Thank you @sun and everyone for all your generous good wishes toward those of us who are concerting. I cannot believe it was only January when I accepted @aurarismas generous offer for the concert in Berlin...(and thank you too rubylove ..............)and all of you for your encouragement..... TY all.............. Since those gripless days so many things have changed for me...  To be quite honest I have no words to explain how I feel about seeing Yusuf in concert ..........now its so close....unbearable..... I shall be quite terrified to be in such a vast sea of humanity.... but I know that for each and everyone there ,including me, it will be a personal journey...Hmmm scary..... .Yusuf too must enjoy doing this?....I cannot even imagine what it must be like to be him......at all... ...and I do actually have quite a well developed imagination!! ;D so many feelings ..and all that.....  I will write about the experience if I can find more words when its over ,than I have now at the beginning of the final curtain....... the excitement is there, well contained ,.....cant have it springing out of the box...cos I have got a grip.... ;D honest......... (just screaming into my hanky!!)lol

Oh no, the dreaded ash cloud has returned-everything crossed that flights will not be majorly disrupted!!!! Last year I was stuck for several days. i won't mind being stuck in Germany, but I WILL IF I CAN'T GET THERE!!!!
