I might go to Munich... together with that dear friend of mine I used to talk about before on these boards, fr. Andrej, who saw him as a 15 year old in 1976 in Köln and went to monastery after hearing "On the road to find out" (of course, that wasn't the main reason for going, but it's a nice anecdote - here he is today: www.youtube.com/watch?v=pnwr-leHD1w ). |

Milan .. what a beautiful story ... I'm sure he rememebers the date as well.. I love monasteries .. and have been to so many in Greece I cannot even count.. I stayed in one after a vision I had about 22 years ago wrote music and I still cant till this day figure out who wrote it ... guess it was me in the fullnesss .... what is your friend saying  ?? I hope He is happy and in Joy ~ Hope you and your friend can make it ~

Thanks to both of you for the kind words - I'm afraid my German is very limited as well... I found that Youtube clip by accident. Yes, father Andrej (or Andreas in German) is a very interesting charachter and a man of many talents; born in Germany of Serbian father (who fled from communist regime in Yugoslavia) and German mother, speaks at least five languages fluently, was a secretar and translator for our late patriarch Pavle (head of the Serbian Orthodox Church), plays guitar, has a beautiful singing voice... I still have somewhere in my flat a tape of two of us singing "But I might die tonight", "Changes IV", "Into White", etc. He's one of those people who you meet for the first time and five minutes later talk with him as you've known him for five years. I know it happened to some of my friends who met him, who didn't have the slightest connection with the Church or religion. He saw Cat on that amazing '76 tour in Cologne - he was 15, and I'd really love to find a bootleg of that performance, because he remembers that Cat opened AND closed the concert with Banapple Gas (a huge hit in Germany at the time, it can be even seen in that "Disco '76" clip of Cat miming to the song), also remembers the fight broke out in the audience with beer bottles being thrown about, rude bunch! He lives in Munich now (where he teaches Dogmatic), so he'll probably be there; I'll do my best to be there as well, as my chances of seeing Yusuf in Serbia are very slim. hahahah a child at heart I see too... I love Eastern Orthodox Christianity ... so beautiful .... I heard Orthodox in the video said a few times .. so I gathered that.. Please tell him I enjoy reading ,The Philokalia , and the Russian Philokalia... and I look very very forward to meeing you both and maybe having a coffee and conversation .. When u know what day you get in ... will you please let us know ?? I believe I get in on the 15th and leave on 19th .. Great poster - and interesting. "Cat Stevens" is much more prominent than "Yusuf" on this. Even the image of Yusuf is almost unrecognizable (except to us) while the image of him as Cat is unmistakable. It makes me wonder if ticket sales aren't what they expected and they decided to go with with the name with the greater recognition.
Does anyone know if these shows are sold out or close to sold out yet?

My new PC here in the office has no java installed. So unfortunately I can't see the seating plans and the availabitlity rates of the venues at eventim. But there are available tickets in all categorie for all venues still...
