I have said it many times - it was one of the best days/nights of my life, and not just because of the concert. Our very own Meg (rubylove25) said it perfectly in Berlin: these events are special because of the time we get to spend with each other; the concerts are a plus.
I'll be listening and remembering on Saturday...

yeah i remember this it was the second time i was in London under the wings of Sue and Bill ,the first time we were dreaming about if he ever sings again ,the second time we did not now what to expect but it was so fabelous.And the tirth time he was so top and in his element enjoying every moment and we also ofcause .Yeah never imagine in my live that i would have this friendships because of Yusuf.

Yusuf is responsible for the many special long lasting friendships and memories that we've all made - we truly are a family in every sense of that word

 @jane and Regi...I too met an Ahmed ..in Berlin after the concert near the Peace van..but it wasn't the one you have a photo of .....mine was a young Iranian who had a special smile that reminded me of someone from the past....a most surreal experience indeed!!! ..SBE must have been wonderful.....a lovely memory...

And it seems like it was yesterday. At times I prefer to think it was yesterday, or make time stand still. ;D London 28th of May SBE, aahhh, it was a special occassion for many reasons. I can't really put them in order, and I can't say one reason was better than the other, but I will start with ..... seeing Yusuf making his debut for his return...... finally being able to meet my majicat family in real life was the highlight of the trip,...... having my sister with me in London to see Yusuf at the SBE........ the last time we saw him was 1972 Melbourne Festival Hall....... I think it was written in the stars, that after nearly forty years, I would be in a position to have the opportunity to see Yusuf in concert, with my sister again, one day before her birthday, 29th of May........ I don't think she could have asked a better present....... 29th of May will always be a double celebration for her and for me, I always had dreamed of going to London since a teenager......the only regret I have....I should have arrived earlier at the venue..... and I wish I had another week. Thankyou all for the wonderful memories, and thankyou Yusuf for making this happen. Just a small reminder of that special night. 'The Wind'.... Helen is somewhere just below Yusuf singing along, and Helen calls out to Yusuf. ;D |
