Thanks Sun. I'm so sorry as well. I don't think I could go to Sweden. Only a miracle could make it possibly. Ale.

Oh, Ale - I am so sorry! Is it because of the date change or the location?

It's because the change of the place. The date is the same

Yes, I'm praying for a miracle for Ale. If it's meant to be, there will be a way, God-willing. Thought I should post this here, too. It's a little confusing having two threads, but they're different enough that I still feel it's okay to post in both. From Yusuf's email to members of the Redroom at yusufislam.com:

Ale, I really feel so sad for you. I hope I am not prying, but does the change in location make it too far to go? Does it change the cost to go? I am going to maintain hope for you!

From Stockholm... Road back home: Why is the Concert the 7th May 2011 in Herning, Denmark canceled – I have bought tickets for me and my wife, and I have looked forward for that day. I am a big fan of you, and my favored song of all songs is Father and Son – I am very disappointed :-( Sorry!
Webmaster's Reply: The decision to move the Concert was not made lightly at all. We have been assured by the Promoters that your tickets are valid for the Stockholm show. We are very sorry for any inconvenience caused.

I have to say I am very surprised Yusuf would do this to his fans.

Probably the promoter's decision.

Well, it was already before arranging the tour and selling the tickets for Herning.
Come on, think up a better excuse - that's not fair towards your Danish fans. Anyway I bought tickets for one of the German gigs, I'm gutted about this your decision."What may be the real reason for the change Why they aren't honest??

I think they just hadnt sold enough tickets - no thought for the true fans who have waited so long to see Yusuf - so many of us are travelling from all corners of the world to Europe and to be so disappointed in this way is heartbreaking :-(

What a total disappointment for those who bought tickets. It does seem a little suspect to just replace a show with no explanation other than "due to popular demand" ? What?? Seems like there should be a better explanation. Even if the tickets will be honored, it's not simply just a car ride away between the two cities. Looks pretty far on the map. An overnight would be required, maybe another plane ride - perhaps rental of a car. What a mess. I'd still jump through hoops though if it were required...

It was totally related to the thread. Am I naive? Or is celebrating Egypts progress towards freedom just a tad incongruent with censorship?

I've noticed that it can take a long time for a post to appear. It seems as though more time and effort is put into Yusuf's Facebook page these days. Maybe the webmaster just hasn't gotten around to it yet. I hate to jump to the conclusion that it is purposely not being posted.

Yes, I agree with Jane. Sometimes there is a delay of even a couple of days. I've seen much harsher comments than M.'s that were posted before, so maybe we should wait and see.
Jane, I also wonder why they didn't just add another tour date.
I'm sure they have good reasons for this decision - they say it wasn't taken lightly at all. It may be difficult for Yusuf to understand the intensity of fans' feelings for him, but it would be nice if he explained a little more so people could feel better. And maybe sweeten the deal, so those who are losing their seats in Herning get an apology and a free T-shirt, mug, or something like that in addition to their full refund.

I'm just hoping there wasn't the cost of an airplane ticket involved...hopefully this is a city folks would be happy to visit regardless...

Have they removed that post? No, I think they censored it: I posted my comment above the one by happy Daniel Johansson and after I'd been waiting loooong enough there was the comment by Niels Jørgen Rohde instead of mine... and it was even 'answered'. Whatever - just wanted to explain the facts ...now I'm a bit worried about they could come up with an idea to combine some of the German gigs

I was thinking that even as I suggested it. This is a mess. Maybe everyone will just have to get over it - not gonna be easy though, and some never will. It's too bad this happened.

Maybe they got hundreds of unhappy posts and didn't know how to deal with it. There's no way people won't be very, very disappointed about this, and if they can at least express their feelings and feel that they're heard, they might feel just a little better. The loss of trust is very real, especially to the people who aren't able to go after they got their hopes so high; the promoters would be very foolish indeed to mess with the rest of the tour dates, and I don't think they will. I'm sure that none of this is Yusuf's fault and the circumstances were beyond his control. The promoters should act to restore confidence in Yusuf's fanbase, and refunding ticket prices is probably not enough. Why don't they just schedule Stockholm on another date and keep Herning?

You can tell that Yusuf and his people feel really bad about this and are doing their best to remedy things as much as possible. Some examples: We understand that people who purchased tickets for Herning are very upset about the decision to change the venue from Herning to Stockholm. Unfortunately circumstances arise sometimes where no other decision is a possibility and this is one of those times. The rest of the tour will not be affected at all and all tour dates are now 100% confirmed, God Willing. Sorry again for the inconvenience caused to many of you. The Promoters have confirmed to us that people who bought tickets for Herning are eligible to transfer there ticket to Stockholm or ask for a full refund. Some have asked why it wasn't possible to add another date, unfortunately this also was not a possibility we looked at all options available and this was the best one. ... Webmaster's Reply:Sorry for the inconvenience caused. We have 100% confirmation from the Promoters that tickets are valid for Stockholm, please check with the Ticket Manager at Herning. ... iM SURE THERE MUST BE A GOOD REASON and maybe Yusuf or Majid can't say or may not say anything .It must be the touroperator. Ale i'm so sad you can't go to the other location hopefull you find a way. found this under FREEDOM CALLS TREAD
I have booked a fligth from Switzerland to Copenhagen and also made bookings for two in a Hotel just to see Yusuf. So beside the Concert Tickets i spent 1500 Dollars which now are a waste. So canceling the Concert is very disapointing for me. Why has not just an additional location added to the tour?
