Thank you Crobarbie we were not lazy we were exhausted LOL aLL I COULD DO IS BRING MY MEMORIES WITH ME OFF THE MOST BEAUTYFULL EVENING AND SOME PHOTO'S OF THE WONDERFULL EVENING from the moment my husband gives me the cd i will put them hear ;all i can say is see the man in real and hear him singing is'ent to decribe .We had a evening never to forget with alot of friends of the board here.Alot of pics in and out of the van ,a little meeting with Yoriyos who sighned my cd and his sister Aminah was also around;Yusuf interduced us his lovely granddaughter Arianna who shouted from upstairs granddaddy grand daddy i love you and we saw that there was second baby a little sister for Arianna Yusuf did'ent mansion her name but he said it to Sheila who had meet him after the concert;Regii
A few of us are still in London and everyone had pics little films lots to say .I'so happy i can't describe my feelings of this last two days.Regine

Yusuf had a good afterground choire we sang with him most of the older songs LOL HE LOVED OUR ENTHOUSIASME AND LOOKED VERY HAPPY .

I am back in Germany and I have to say thank you. Thank you to Suzie Q, who found my hotelrooms and thank you Helen. Helen ordered my tickets for the concert. The concert was great, to see Yusuf playing more than one hour, unforgettable. Yes, he is back, and how he is back, he really enjoys to perform. It was wonderful to meet so much friends from the board. Unfortunately the time was very short. Two days were too short to visit London. The time lies so far. Maybe we will get another chance to meet and to talk to each other. Here are some pictures.                      It was so wonderful to meet you all, Sue, Regine, Helen, Doreen, Bill, Joanne, Vicky, George (Thank you so much for the book, you gave me as a present), Jane, Shiela and Tom (I was very glad Shiela, that you had a short meeting with Yusuf), Lucy, Christiane from Nancy in France (Maybe we can meet in summer, Nancy is not far away from my home). Please excuse me, if i forgot to mention another friend. I am busy at time, tomorrow I have to put my father in hospital, he is not so good. The doctors think, he will need a pacemaker. YUou have good pics Anette mine of the concert were not so best and how did you get Yoriyos so well it was really not easy to see more then his hair LOL Do you now who took the pic on the van with the chauffeur who gived me the t shirt oh how we have fun and a fantastic evening.Regii

Part 1,Bill and I, meet Regii, at the train station, then headed over to the Coffee House, where we met up with Michele & Charly, Jane, Adrian and Lucy, shortly followed by, Anette & Christine, Markus and Marion, Iris, Gaby, Joanne and Mark. Helen, wasn't feeling too good, so she stayed at home to recover enough for the concert.  BILL AND JANE  MARKUS AND ANETTE  CHRISTINE, LUCY AND MARKUS  REGII, SUE, MICHELE AND CHARLY  CHARLY, ADRIAN, MARION AND LUCY  IRIS AND ANETTE  JOANNE AND MARK  MARKUS, IRIS & HUSBAND AND ANETTE  Michele, gave me a sketch of little ol' me!!! I was so elated, as no one had ever drawn me before!!! ;D I also received the white T-shirt with the sketch she had made of Cat that has been show on here previously!  Lucy, gave me a gift of Thorntons Belgian Chocolate!!! Markus, gave to me a T-Shirt with my name and pictures of Cat and Yusuf on the front and Yusuf on the back with all his albums!!! Regii, had bought with her, Belgian Chocolates for us to share with our coffee, we had a lovely time together chatting away! Very nice they all were too!!! then at the Shaftesbury bar, I received from Vicki, a box of Belgian Chocolates and a bottle of Kumquat liqueur. I am so blessed to have such generous friends ;D Thank you all again Michele, Lucy, Regii, Vicki and Markus COFFEE HOUSE   Then, we split up again for various locations, Bill, Regii, Jane and myself, made our way over to the Empire, I expected, there would be already a long queue, but luckily, that was not the case, there were only a few already there! As time went on, other's arrived, Vicki (Downunder) and her sister Helen, from Greece, George (Daddy'O), Chris and Annie (Novim) to name a few. Then the Roadsinger VW bus, that is so well known now, was backing into the alley at the side of the Empire, driven by Umair, Yusuf's daughter, Aminah, was also in the bus, so out came the cameras! Here are a few shots I took! (Did I say a few!!!)       IN THE WINDOWS        In the middle of the picture, the person on the right is GEORGE (DADDY'O) with his Son.        Then Yoriyos arrived, I shook his hand and said, how great it was to see him again! Regii, took out her CD, (BMHAWK) and asked him if he would sign it for her! His hands were full, so I took what he was holding from him so he would have his hands free, while saying I'll hold those for you if you like? He said, well, you can keep that, meaning a black t-shirt with NOXSHI on it!!! WOW!!!OH Thank you, I said, how great was that, then he took back the bottle of water and gave it to Aminah, I asked Yoriyos, if he drives the van, he said he can't as it's a manual, (Stick Shift) and his license, is for automatics only! Then, as he was signing autographs, I took a few shots...     CHRISTIANE, HELEN, REGII, MEG(RUBYLOVE25) JANE, YORIYOS AND AMINAH   LUCY WITH UMAIR  Regii and I, walked around to the stage door and asked if Yusuf, was in the building? We were told that he had been for his sound check at 2pm, but had now gone again! While standing in line, we saw Tiffany and her Mum, Pat, briefly, but they left to go in early as they had a disabled pass. to be continued...

Part 2.Shortly after, Shiela and her family arrived, Shiela, told me that it had been arranged that she was to meet with Yusuf!!!!  How wonderful, I was so very pleased for her. A young man came over and said, it wasn't certain yet when this would happen, maybe before the concert or after, but he would Text them later to let them know. WOW!!!! SHIELA AND TOM    As Sheila, was in a wheelchair, she was allowed entrance early and to a preferential viewing point!  Well, eventually, the time came for the doors to open, and we were allowed in. we had bought with us bottled water and juice, but were searched and they removed all of them from us, but told us we could buy more inside!!!  Just so we could spend more money I guess!!! Had I known, I would have drank it before we entered!  Anyway, once in, we had, I thought, a good view, almost at the front row, but it turned out that by the time Yusuf, came on I could hardly see anything, as I was shorter than those in front of me, also there was so much pushing from the back, it was very claustrophobic! The things we go through!!!  But I am ahead of myself, firstly was Noxshi! I managed a couple of shots, Yoriyos, is very camera shy and hardly looked up at all! NOXSHI      BAABA MAAL   When they had finished, we were asked if we wanted more? They then came back on, after a couple of lines into the song, out came..... BONO!!! The crowd went mad!!! He sang with Baaba Maal, and U2. ;D      More to follow...

Part 3AND THEN.... YUSUFHere is the list of songs that were sung... Welcome Home Lilywhite Don't Be Shy Where Do The Children Play? Miles From Nowhere To Be What You Must The Wind Wild World Boots And Sand Ruins Roadsinger Father And Son Peace Train Blues and Peace Train Here are my snaps, I had to hold my Camera up above my head to get these, much to the annoyance of those behind me! (Sorry guys)                     After the concert, here we are at the Stage Door! Where finally, I got to meet WALTER!!! Sue, Walter, Regii and Anette & Markus  Shiela and her family, then went to meet Yusuf and his family, I will let Shiela tell you all about it! Then, Yusuf left the building!!! After a tip off from a friend I managed to get to his car, just before they were driven away, there were people trying to take pictures of them through the windows, I could see that Yusuf was putting his hand up to stop them! I looked through the front windscreen, waved at Yusuf and got a big smile, wave and a thumbs up from him!!! I was a happy girl!!! ;D Edited to add... We also met up with Doreen (Cristalina) and her husband, just after the concert, It was great to she them again, but they were going back the same night and had to shoot off. After Yusuf and his family had left, Regii, Bill and I went with Joanne and Mark, to their hotel, for drinks, food and a good old chat! What a Great end to a FABULOUS day! The whole night was being filmed, I hope we get the chance to see it all again! Still to come, the lunch meeting at Shaftesbury Bar! ...

Part 4We arrived at the Shaftesbury Bar at 12:00 noon, of course, had to take pictures outside!     Vicki (Downunder), Helen, Regii and Bill  Vicki and Jane  Helen and Michele  Helen, Avril and Anette  Anette, Gaby and Christine  Markus and his daughter, Marion  Markus and Gaby  Christine, Vicki and Jane  Shilea, Tom and family  Joanne and Mark  Lucy and Soitis  Regii and Bill  Sue, Shilea and Regii  Soitis, Regii and Sue  We had a great time, then before we knew it, the day had flown and it was time to make a move back to the station! I was looking round for Regii, the next thing I knew, Regii was coming out of the door to the upstairs with Jane, they had been to see Yusuf's old room!!! ;D So we said our goodbyes, more pictures were taken, then we were on the way back home!!! It was all over so quickly! but a wonderful couple of days. Next trip Moonshadow... unless I win a ticket to the radio show!!! ;D

What a night! My son, who I'm pictured with (thanks for framing us there!), said it was the best concert he'd ever seen... and we have seen some of the finest... just after the gig I met this guy in the Empire loo of all places... he was pretty worse for wear and apologised for chatting to me while I was taking a leak! Sorry, way too much information!! This guy said he'd had a funny old day. He'd had to say goodbye to a good friend and had had to come straight from his funeral. He said his mate was 52 and had died of cancer. He said he felt guilty about going to the Cat concert after the buriel but it was what his pal would have wanted. He said, "Tell me, was I hallucinating or had we just seen Bono and U2 supporting Cat Stevens?!" I said quite possibly or a damn fine tribute band. Great that Yusuf/Cat managed to follow U2... a bit like Hendrix following The Who!
Highlights for me... Lilywhite... amazing, preceeded by Welcome Home which echoed the past so well. The Wind was a nice interlude and a welcome break for Yusuf! I loved the humour in Boots And Sand. Peace Train was just incredible and it was just so great to see the band having fun... some great piano there and Cat/Yusuf clearly enjoying the gig. Lovely also to see Yusuf's Grandaughter enjoying seeing her Grandad singing Grandfather & Son. (The finest audience comment of the night!) It will remain a very memorable night for us.
Fabulous to meet up with some fellow Majicatters, keep rocking!
