During an interview last summer, Yusuf mentioned that the artist
he most wants to work with is Bob Dylan. Since then, I've been
wondering which of Dylan's songs Yusuf would cover given the
chance. And, in general, I've been thinking that it would be nice
to hear him cover more songs by the artists he admires.
His covers of Saturn Night and Man With No Country
were superb.
Which songs by other artists would you suggest Yusuf consider
recording?

Among Dylan songs, how about Dark Eyes ?
Not only is the lyric perfect for him, but as far as I know,
no one but Judy Collins has covered it. Her cover just doesn't do
it for me. This is a passionate anthem for heaven's sake... sigh ...

... and coincidentally, moments after typing the above, I read in my
Amnesty International newsletter that Bob Dylan's next album,
Chimes of Freedom will be released on 24 January 2012.
Subtitle: Honoring 50 Years Of Amnesty International.
Gotta love those weird coincidences ....

First time seeing this thread. Okay, you all know that I'm a Thom pace fan, I would love to see Yusuf do a cover of Thom's classic song, Maybe! Since it's quite similar to Yusuf's very own maybe there's a world. I know, since Thom is a personal friend of mine, he would be very impressed.
