for me , whatever songs yusuf choooses to sing its all good ....noo... great! I've been loving the ones he has been choosing to sing....!
I have really been getting into his newer work too .. that song "Thinking About You" is breathtaking ~ Looking forward to his new album .. and God willing more touring ~
ohhh all these berlin photos .. its like I'm going to the museums all over again ...beautiful x

:)There are so many reasons that ,I too ,am sooo looking forward to Yusufs new music ,message ,and words...and the more languages that he sings in the better!! xxxxx I adore like him in Arabic......

Well, Hyacinth, It doesn't matter, let's continue here, no need to change I'm muslim, my origins are turkish , my grandfather came in France with my grandmother, my father (he was 17).After he married at 25 and i was born in Istanbul , but i was a three month baby when i came in France .. So i grew up in Paris,and spend my summers in Turkey My parents are pious and they tried to teach us the good and the bad through religion, you know when you have a faith, and if you know it , peace and the wishes to be a good person comes with. So you never turn bad because you know the consequences My paternal side family, are not very religious,my father is the only between his brother and sister, to do the five daily prayers. My maternal side are more close to the religion . So with my brother we learned the Quran, in a mosque.. You must know a minimum about your religion if you said that you are a muslim.. But, well, there's a long time that i haven't read the Quran..and I don't do ,yet , the daily prayers.. The modern arabic and the Quran arabic are very different, the sound of this one is very poetic , and.. peaceful,calm. And also like Czech, there are 'variations' in the nouns in Turkish, but for me i don't notice its, for me it's..well, very naturaly  Ps: My name is Esra , so you can just put one 'a' |

never say never @hyancinth especially with Yusuf! I never thought I would hear him do Angelsea which is one of my most favorites of his .. and he did..... ! where did you find these  !!!
We were very lucky that we saw The Beatles and that we saw Cat sing "Lady D'arbanville" live and we were wearing bellbottoms! sweet memories and mind n heart souvenirs .. x
I have to admit I love bellbottoms. even tho the past is gone
they just dont make jeans like they used to . Now they all have stretch fabric in them, the legs are so wide and they just dont make them like they used to .
I'm not a fan of the stretch jean. I live in my jeans and love the original material! xo
Thank God I still have my original Levi 501's and 517's . At Levi you can have them custom made too.
just as long as earth shoes dont come back!! lol  |

Just to turn back, a little in the topic Angel Of War , melody from Lady D'Arbanville , with another love message .. I can't deal with this-the tune stands for the song. For me it does not work to change the words. It is just too mixed up I often wonder how you can perform a love song written in your youth as shall we say a more mature person... you have now grown up, you are usually about different things, a different love now. I can't really express it properly but I can understand Yusuf's reluctance to perform those autobiographical songs or the ones that are really mainly about sex. |

@sabina Yes , what a coincidence ! ;D I've been fast perituraYes every songs of Cat/Yusuf are very autobiographical, it's a truth .. He was seeking for his spiritually path , now he found it, perhaps he thinks that he doesn't need to sing some songs very personnaly , and close from his young feelings, at the time.. He's got a lot of questions in his songs , he found the answers right now, the answers and the spiritualy that he was seeking, everywhere .. |

In fact, he tries to pass his messages through his music. Now ,I think, he still has some messages to pass through his music, and other messages that he doesn't need ,or shouldn't passing, no more ;D

Well i'm again out of the topis, but it doesn't matter I'm pretty sure that you have already, listen "I have no cannons that roar", it's a beautifuuul album, and very sad one, because it deals about the war, and the sadness of the little childrens .. And this one "Mother,Father,Sister,Brother", the simpleness of the lyrics, and the childlike soul, makes it very sad but truthful, I can't help crying in this one..It's so poignant.. The badness of the war on the children..  |
