I came across this video of a live performance of Matthew & Son: www.youtube.com/watch?v=aQXBvfewUssIt's not Cat, but rather the Finnish singer Jukka Kuoppamäki. Unlike Cat's TV appearances in the 60s, this appears to be live. This begs the question: are there any videos or recordings of Cat playing live during the 60s? I'd like to know if the tour with Engelbert Humperdink & Jimmy Hendrix was ever recorded. With all the production used on Cat's early recordings, I wonder how the songs sounded live. I imagine it might be something like Jukka's performance. Nähdään! (Finnish for Laters!) Mike (AKA Qizlo)

Very nice find Mike!
The only footage I've seen of 60s TV Cat appearances have been lip synched. However, in spite of ruthless "recycling", some material must survive. We live in hope!
Nähdään and best regards
George

Nice find Mike. Even though it isn't Cat, it is fun to watch. Thanks.

Kiitos George! (Finnish for Ta)
I was hoping our resident Cat scholar might have dug up some live Cat recordings from the 60s. Hopefully something will turn up one of these days.
If any of you are going to one of Yusuf's concerts coming up in the UK, you gotta request Matthew & Son. It would be great to hear this song live.
"and they'll be working all day, all day, all day..."
