Cat's art work all told fascinating stories. I also love the storybook that comes with Numbers.

It's a great film. Very psychedelic and a bonus with the late great Spike Milligan. Cat's a very underrated illustrator.

now if only they would have made a cartoon of Tea For the tillerman... ;-) What a nice storyline they could have made out of this awesome little song. BTW.. I LOVE the 5 red owls in Moonshadow. On certain misty looking full moon nights, I look up and wonder where those owls are now?

It also would have been great if they made the Buddah cartoon into a similar animated story, or what about the polygons from Numbers. These would have been fascinating.
Peace,Vivian

Thank you, Anette - I remember reading that book. I looked through this thread and didn't find a link for the animation (maybe I missed it (?)), so I thought I'd add it. It's from the ABC In Concert Moon & Star concert in 1973. I think it's also on the Majikat DVD. Cat Stevens - Teaser & Firecat animated + live Intro - 1973 ~Sun~

In an interview published last year in the book Song: The World's Best Songwriters on Creating the Music That Moves Us, Yusuf is asked: Do you still draw for pleasure? He answers: No. I'm happy with the productions I'm making for Mountain of Light. I'm involved in all these books and packages, which I take great delight in, making sure that the colors are right, the illustrations, the typeface, the spacing, the paper, everything to do with the feel and the presentation. Does anyone know if he was involved in that terrific package that came with the Harold & Maude vinyl release? Of course, we know, thanks to Joanne in the Harold and Maude thread, that he signed his portrait/poster, so maybe that indicates that he was involved in putting the package together? ~Sun~

This thread has some awsum stuff.
Thats the thing about Yusuf. When I first heard his music I thought this guys a great songwriter/singer, but when I saw his art, I thought this guy is an artist on many levels.

I still remember your artwork, especially your lovely sketches of John Lennon, in the "Original Artwork Thread." And you play guitar. It reminds me of the Starart book with the artwork of singer/songwriters- it seems that creative genius is generally on many levels. . . I hope your work in the graphic arts is still going well. ~Sun~
