Surrey is a wonderful and gentle county just nearby the city of London, made up of gentle hills and winding streams... Sorry for what me dear? I really would like to read between those lines, Bern, you know I'm too curious... Well, otherwise, okay, no problem, love you as well. ;D

I don't know if this song is my favourite but I certainly like it a lot, and no one ever seems to mention it, and that is 'father' from back to earth'. Not just great lyrics but a really nice tune as well.

100 I Dream, I don't think I've ever connected with lyrics so intensely. Don't know if it's my favourite but it definately is one of them.
If You Want To Sing Out, Sing Out, because it reminds me of Harold & Maude which is a movie I hold close to me.
There are others, but those are the first two I think of, especially 100 I Dream.

Somehow I missed this thread. It must have been started while I was gone.
My favorite song is "How Can I Tell You." My next two favorite songs are "Where Do the Children Play" and "Ruins." After that it depends on my mood.

I too think 'where do the children play' is one of his best, it was written over thirty years ago but it is still totally appropiate for today, it has probally even matured with age.

All of Cat's songs are unquestionably touching, but the most touching song is definitely "The Artist"

Katmandu. I love this song. It gives such a deep and quiet feeling. I would LOVE to know more about this song. Also someone PLEASE tell me what the "(song title) member" deal and the stars are about. Thanks! I havn't had much time to visit this site but it is really cool to talk about Cat songs with people who have also known them for decades (or less!) I once copied the words to every song on every Cat albumn I owned, probably about 5 at the time, for my best friend and titiled it "The Poetry of Cat Stevens". The songs were very important to me, as so many of them expressed things I'd felt that I'd never quite articulated

Also someone PLEASE tell me what the "(song title) member" deal and the stars are about. Thanks! I've noticed that the more posts you have, the more stars you get, and after 5 small stars, you move on, up to 5 big stars. The name of the song changes as you progress also. So, a new member has one small star and is "Oh very young." We need a more experienced member to tell us where the cut-offs are for gaining another star, changing song name, and then moving on to big stars. Maybe Christine would tell us - especially if we move this question to the Majicat.com forum, which is for questions about Majicat. It's a great question, Ann. ~Sun~

Here are the answers to your stars/song title questions Ann, Sun.
They really don't mean much, just a fun way to see your titles change. The original titles were 'NEWBIES' 'AMATEUR', so I changed them to Cat song titles, since it seemed more appropriate, considering the theme of this message board.
