We've all talked about favorite songs over time. But, what would you consider your favorite instrumental song of Cats?

Don't forget The Artist and Nascimento. It varies with me, I do like Crab Dance and Was Dog A Doughnut. :-)

For me Kypros is the best.I like Greek melos in this song.It shows that Cat is Greek artist too. Last yeare when I was driving trough Greece i listened to KYPROS and it was so conpatible with countrysite.Like Greek Zorba.

Oh darn, I can't believe I forgot to add The Artist and Nascimento.
I guess if your favorite is one of these two, add it to the post rather than the poll. I can't edit the poll to add Artist and Nascimento.

BTW, Kypros is my favorite as well. Has been from the moment I heard it. I love it's melody. I would have to say 'The Artist' would be my second favorite.

Hi Everybody! Love this thread!
I have duly taken a listen to all of these mentioned and I have made up my mind that I cannot make up my mind. ;D
However, I do favor Crab Dance, Was Dog a Doughnut and Kypros. But of course, they are all good and once again, as in the past with these polls, it's impossible to single out just one song.

lol, let's put it this way: if the bouzouki riffs in Rubylove had been made into an instrumental, that one would have my vote ;D

kypros and the artist are surely great piece of music, but i consider Was Dog something brilliant and pure genius - when you think he recorded that in 1977 or so, it sound like something people would start t do ten years later - cat was really on something here, showing his musical ability (hey, electronic dance music is not even my fav music...)

I agree with this completely, good statement!

I recently read an article called 'The 20 best disco records ever made'. #9 was Cat's 'Was Dog'. the article said something like every major artist recorded a disco effort. The author said Cat's was one of the finest with the futuristic bass-heavy jam and the hypnotic dog barking away. It said it was played by everyone from Afrika Bambaataa to Tony Humphries.
You can tell they had fun with that one :-)
