interesting lyric change from foreigner suite:
The moment you walked inside my door I knew' that I need not look no more I've seen many other [glow=red,2,300]girls [/glow]before, ah but darling Heaven must've programmed you The moment you fell inside my dreams I realised all I had not seen I've seen many other [glow=red,2,300]girls [/glow]before, ah hot darling Heaven must've programmed you
i wonder whats up with this. definitely a spiritual touch... to heaven/true love:
The moment you walked inside my door I knew that I need not look no more, I've seen many other [glow=red,2,300]souls [/glow]before - ah but, Heaven must've programmed you
The moment you fell inside my dreams I realized all I had not seen, I've seen many other [glow=red,2,300]souls [/glow]before - ah but, Heaven must've programmed you.

mehbeh, but souls- not wives? Well, I think that's because Yusuf has only ever had one wife. So for him, "many wives" wouldn't make sense. Peace,Vivian

I think the change in lyrics has to be attributed, at least partially, to his faith.. I really do like the transition though. Souls is more general than Girls. Souls could be a son, daughter, prophet, friend (male or female), wife, partner, animal.. i like it better this way. I am sorry if the following sounds preachy, that is not my intent.. But I thought you guys would be interested in some muslim perspectives about true love (love for the sake of Allah), because I feel they correlate nicely with the song Heaven. These are from Hadith (prophet's sayings): (note, "brother" in these passages means spiritual brother, and not genetic. Also, you can replace "brother" with "sister" for the sake of gender equality ) "A man went to visit a brother of his in another village. Allah sent an angel to wait for him on the road. When the man came along, the angel asked him, 'Where do you intend to go?' He said, 'I am going to visit a brother of mine who lives in this village.' The angel asked, 'Have you done him any favour (for which you are now seeking repayment)?' He said, 'No. I just love him for the sake of Allah.' The angel told him, I am a messenger to you from Allah, sent to tell you that He loves you as you love your brother for His sake." "If a man loves his brother, let him tell him that he loves him." ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ So let me tell you all right now.. I love you!
