Here's a new song by Yusuf Islam.. It's also about love for the prophet, peace be upon him. Yusuf uses a very nice western style and the lyrics are catchy. I really like his voice in this song. Half the lyrics are in arabic though (they mostly say things like: Divine prayers of peace be upon our prophet.. our beloved... all the prophets.. all the truthful and righteous people..)

i remember this video from sometime ago, i really like this one, in fact i was expecting that the new album was more in this crossover (west-east music) style

but... when this was? two years ago? or more? i'm quite sure i first saw this about one year ago... how come his beard and hair were still completely black?

you're right, this was more than a year ago.. i'm not sure why they didn't include it in 'An Other Cup'. maybe too much arabic?

i also wonder about the the beard sometimes. it seems to be changing in color and length from time to time. but hey, it's his beard and he can do whatever he wants with it

I am sure this video was put out a year or less ago. As for the hair and beard, sometimes he colors them, sometimes not. Also, you see him with and without glasses, and the weight goes from thin to very thin, probably having to do with how much fasting is happening. The song is nice. It came out the same time 'Maybe There's A World' did. I am surprised it isn't on the new cd.

max, that footage is from Abu Dhabi, May 2005. He also performed this wonderful tune during the Night of Remembrance concert in London in October, 2003.

I was really hoping that it would be included on 'An Other Cup' as well. But this gives us hope it may be included on another cd in the future
