I'm curious to know - is there a Cat Stevens song that you aren't that fond of or don't like?
To be honest, when I first heard the "Mona Bone Jakon" album, I wasn't too fond of the stlye - but later on, I couldn't help but to like them! I don't think I have a particular song that I do not like.
Thanks guys!

There are only a few. I don't really care to much for Bad Brakes, but it isn't so bad, that I can't listen to it..

There are certainly favorites(YIKES, I said it), but none that I just can't stand.

I have strong and mixed feelings about music, I generally tend to love certain songs deeply and really can't stand others, even though they might be good songs as well (certainly better than most of the crap going on nowadays). Never been a fan of 'Banapple Gas', '100 I Dream', 'Jzero', 'Ghost Town', 'New York Times'. All the rest is immaculate. And funny enough...my fav album is 'Numbers' probably! I mean, all the other songs are MAJIK.

Bern...I would never expect that from you... 'If I Laugh' is definitely one of my 'trademarks', I guess it really is the song where Cat Stevens resembles Genesis more: I could easily hear Peter Gabriel singing it and Steve Hackett playing the acoustic guitar in it, it always struck me because of that. Or maybe you don't like Genesis, that's why... Once I listened to Genesis miming Cat on their 'Happy the Man' single (take a listen to it please, you'll really think that's Cat singing!) I needed a song where Cat returned the favour... Are we going to fight about tastes now? ;D ;D ;D

I love most of Cat's songs but I can never be esoteric within the realm of Pop as you are. I would always lose. sorry.

Yes you would me dear... What if I challenged you on classical stuff then? What would be left of me? I'm far more ignorant than what people who adore me might think, believe me... You're the queen, you'll always be, you know about that.

I've had this feeling since the first day we 'met', Bern, or...no, even before we 'met', when someone told me about you and your ways and all (you know what I mean). What else? Only the best survive...and only the good die young (the latter just being a Billy Joel quote, nothing else meant)...

Well when Tea for the Tillerman came out, I loved it and decided to get Mona Bone Jakon, released a few months earlier. I never liked that song, and now I understand why (I was very naive back then). ;D But the rest of the album is very good.

Interesting how everyones taste is a bit different... Lady D was my wallow song for a long time... I played it over and over, very haunting... Banapple Gas I feel is very much in the Classic style of Cat Stevens... The songs I listen to the least is on his earlier albums... But some of those songs I would love to heard him redue in a style that isn't so Fo Foo... Of his newer music I least listen to New York and Bad Brakes, but like what was said before they are lisenable... I guess in a way I Love Them All, But I'm That Kind Of A Guy...
