Hi to all fellow Majikaters, I wrote lyrics to a Cat Stevens song called "Come on Cat Stevens"and sent it to my friend in Austria Albert Eigner (aka) Al from Al & the Firecats. I asked him if he could compose music for it. I also sent him another song I wrote called "Coming Home" about Rosyth my home town in Fife (Scotland) Al composed/plays and sings both songs. I thought you my like to hear them. myspace.com/raymonddavidsonAl and I will be in London to see the Man himself on Dec 8th, hope to meet some of you from across the pond. Best Wishes from Scotland. Raymond.

Very Nice Teaser! I listened to both songs and really liked both. You have a nice gift of song writing. I think Yusuf would be impressed.
Al did an equally impressive job of putting the songs to music. Thank you so much for sharing these with us. I can't decide which song I like better. You and Al make a very good collaboration.

Real nice songs, Teaser and Al! I like your voices. Did you place "Come on Cat Stevens" on his myspace page already? He will be pleased to hear this tribute song. It should be our Majicat anthem...
We're thinking about meeting again for lunch at the 'Shaftesbury' (the former Moulin Rouge owned by Yusuf's family) on Dec. 8th - please join us. cu in London Gabi

Just played two of your wonderful melodic tunes, first of all, your brilliant tribute to our singer Cat/Yusuf. His music and songs are a generation that will go on until the end of our time. The lyrics were memorable, uplifting, and tell a story of a man who dreamt of becoming a pop star. Those good looks in the 70s, the time when he grew his hair and beard made every female heart blush, until he dropped it for good in late 1977 and change his religion. When his music stopped, it shocked everybody.
A long break from the music scene, was the big cut-off, when he said to his fans that it was over, announced,"That's all, folks, I've had enough! Plugging his guitar, and walking off-stage was an abrupt end to his career. Thirty-three years later, his guitar was brought back to him by Yoriyos, his beloved son.
Newly featured songs of peace, love and understanding were deeply spiritual, memorable new words, brought his guitar back to him and returning to the music business with two new albums, like the critically eclaimed album "An Other Cup, with the beautiful songs such as Midday, Maybe There's A World, In The End, and There Is Peace, folled by his second new album Roadsinger. All his songs have captured us, and made us welcome. Let's hope this musical will come good.
