Hey everyone, just wanted to share poem/song I've recently written in regards to the climate crisis. Cheers, Mike
Seasonal Suite By Mike Westhaver
Verse
The moon never closer is at grasp Our voices strong, others a-gasp Have not we learned from lessons past? We still are young, we are the last
Verse
The tide it rises, to unsettling heights Still this causes minimal frights We continue building unsightly sights But grow we must, to show our might
Chorus
We are still young, a reckless tribe Who underestimates the wrath of time Some have come around to see the crime But others dismiss this foolish rhyme
Verse
The sun our love burns brightly still But bright enough to change our will? It gives us light on each new day It also burns the ground to grey
Chorus
Verse
The wind it picks up, with debris And blows ever harder against the trees Our shelters topple, sink into the sea Further travelled inland, you and me
Chorus x 2

Thank you for sharing this, Mike. It's very strong - with vivid imagery. Makes me want to change the rest of my lightbulbs to compact fluorescent.
I look forward to hearing it on Youtube. All the best,
~Sun~

Nice song Mike, I am with Glaucus, I'd love to hear you sing it.
