The Hourglass Song

Those of you who can actually remember the 70s (!!) might recall this movie called "Jeremy" starring Robby Benson and Glynnis O'Connor. The main song or the movie was called "The Hourglass Song" (aka "I Have A Blue Balloon") and was performed by Benson himself and was even a minor hit in 1973. Well the melody, composed by Lee Holdridge, stuck with me all this time and a couple of years ago, I recorded it for fun on a friend's piano/Synth. Very, very nice song, Glaucus. I love listening to the piano. Great rendition. I don't remember the song, so it was like hearing something new.

Oh, you got me curious about Robbie Benson, so l looked him up. Wow, with that long hair and beard now, I never would have recognized him if I hadn't been on a Robbie Benson website.

Jep, I remember Jeremy! Now, Robby Benson happened to be a great singer in his own right. I remember reading that Cat was one of his influences. Heres a cut of Robby singing from the nmovie, "Die Laughing"
