www.youtube.com/watch?v=mTqf6bXS0aU I've never posted something from Youtube before, but I happened across this Melanie (Safka) cover of Bitterblue. Her daughter is apparently singing backup, according to the posts below it. Also, it mentions that Melanie did a cover of Peace Train. I was not able to find that. I think she does a nice job with Bitterblue. Happy New Year!

Oh thank you for this sharing , I love Melanie and yes she does very good covers For example I prefer her 'Ruby Tuesday' than the original from Rolling Stones.. But here Cat singing is the best

OK, I just listened to both versions of that excellent song "Bitterblue" first by Melanie Safka, and the original version of it by Cat himself. Melanie's rendition had like a fade-out in the song, but Cat sung it to the very end of the last lines "I gave my last chance to you, don't hand it back to me bitterblue." Melanie must have been a Cat fan as well, she also covered Ruby Tuesday, which was a slow version

I hope to find these selections via iTunes or Amazon... thanks, Tiff! -Bud
